The John Deere 7810 was my favorite 7010 series tractor of all time
@bigtractorpower2 жыл бұрын
The 7810 is a stand out. At some point I plan to make a top 10 John Deere tractors of all time and the 7810 is definitely on that list.

I always like the way the 7x00/7x10 tractors looked. Those and the 71xx magnums were sharp looking tractors when they first came out.

Love to see 7810’s working ! In the U.K. its widely believed that the 7810 is the best tractor JD have ever made. They sit in between the past’s robust engineering with high quality materials and the modern classic approach to getting the power down with maximum reliability. No plastic snapping with these guys. They go for big money too and are always nice to listen too when at work !

Thank you for watching. Always an honor to have people from other parts of the globe. I think many American farmers feel the same way about the 7810.

As a kid I would ask my mom to take me to the JD dealer just so I could look at the 7810’s. I still have many 1/64 7810 toys that my kids now love to play with.

bigtractorpower, Nice video. The lights you are referring to at 0:45 are most often called "extremity lights". Also, related to the specifications at the end: The IVT transmission was available in Europe in 2002 on the 7810.

That disk reminds me of the one we used on my Grandpa's farm; except it was smaller. We pulled it with his 1952 John Deere G. Seems like it was a three row disk. That 7810 is a fine tractor.
@bigtractorpower6 жыл бұрын
The G was a big tractor in its day. When you say a 3 row disk was it as wide as 3 38 inch rows of corn?
@SteveHolsten6 жыл бұрын
bigtractorpower I'm afraid to try to say exactly since we didn't have corn on his farm. It was always cotton or soybeans back then in the early 70's.

How many hours a week do you invest to make such super films ?

This is a hobby for me. It does take time to make the videos. Normally I make them on Sunday afternoons and have a line up for the week. The videos are from footage I have filmed from 2010 to 2018. I have a big bank of archived videos I have been working to share more and more off.

Can assure you , it's greatly appreciated , here across the water, you have a pleasing "authoritative :-) " Tone and a respectful view on the topic - just as though we were there driving past and stopping by the fence ( ! - where? ) ROADSIDE to view the spectacle. Thanks. Heh! what about a vid to illustrate how you go about your hobby - or R U camera shy like me! - Och and sometimes, I guess it's just a personal thing. Respect.

This style in the video was for the 7610, 7710 and 7810. The 7210, 7410 and 7510 have lights in the middle. The whole 7000 series had them in the middle I do believe.

The euro 7810s had the lights in the middle with the decal wrapping around the top. This is the American version.

Hello, I have been watching your videos for awhile now and I really enjoy them. I have boughten 6 sections (
@bigtractorpower6 жыл бұрын
Congratulations on your purchase. There are so many factors in buying a tractor. Acres covered, implements used, crops raised, weather time frame, dealer support etc.... I know a farm that is 1,500 acres but has 4 4wds because they raise time sensitive vegetables that need heavy plowing and tillage to be completed in 10 days or less. I know a 7,000 acre wheat farm that does everything with two 4wds and two seeders. Email me at contact@bigtractorpower.com. I would like to hear more.

Oh I dunno about Deere - liked the look of the 60's models and grew up with 70's to 80's machines, but didn't like the later models - and NOW ! Oh ohoh! Giant Kiddies toys! That mesh grills - Have 3 of them go rusty from salt spray - cannot paint them and are expensive to replace for no real function ( other than dirt screen) and looks ( VISUAL APPEAL). Not a Tractor Anorak, BUT they figured strongly in my work, US Deer have different nomenclature and Style from European models. causes some confusion.
