We run two (consecutive serial numbers) Lexion 590R combines in central ND. We farm roughly 5800 acres, and grow spring wheat, durum, flax, edible beans, soybeans, corn, and some years sunflowers. In the wheat, durum, flax, and beans we run 40ft MacDon flexdraper headers, which in my opinion is the best header ever made. We have a 16 row (30 inch) Lexion corn header, and only run one combine in corn. The output from one Lexion in corn is enough some days to overwhelm the grain cart and trucks, even with the smaller corn yields from the 80/85 day corn grown this far north. In the sunflowers we use an F35 Lexion header with sunflower pans and reel, as well as a Sunmaster header. The 7000/8000 series Lexion combines address every issue we have with our 500 series combines, mainly the grain tank size. The 590R only has a 360 bushel grain tank, so 510 is a massive improvement.

@@user-ek3sk4zk6n we had oppotunity for testing X9 against our old 760ttyear ago but john deere was afraid to put it in the same field. no show. 5.2 mph in 200 bushel corn with that head is 3780 bushels per hour. That’s if you drive straight forever and ever. Never turn around, never stop. I’d bet he never hit 5000 instantaneous bph and is probably averaging in real life close to 2500bph. Time for people to stop the exaggerating.

wow, 5.8 bushels per second is an awfully fast unloading rate, but I think I understand why because you need to harvest, unload, and sell your crop as fast as possible to stay ahead of your competitors and keep the US economy going at a reasonable pace.
