Windshield is a DOT approved laminated piece just like you find on your automobiles. They do not shattered like tempered glass. So if you get a stone chip, they can be repaired just like a car. As far as somebody mentioning heat loss and condensation in the front window, in those rare instances reflectix is all that's needed. . Regardless if it's a single air conditioner or dual air conditioner since 2019. They have been providing most units with 50 amp service. Some of the best features of Flagstaff and Rockwood Is they use 5/8 tongue and groove plywood not particle and it is glued and screwed. Another great feature Is that they laminate their own walls on site. It is a vacuum laminate. Applied to a six-sided aluminum frame that is double welded at every aluminum Junction. What that gives you is a very sturdy structure. To prove how strong their design is You can. literally fist strike the sides of the slide and ceiling of the RV and not have any Flex whatsoever Instead just a resounding thud. The Torsion axles provide a much smoother ride compared to Wishbone Leaf design and With a lot less moving Parts longevity becomes standard

We bought a '18 Flagstaff 29RKWS in 2017 and to date it has been a perfect rig. No issues AT ALL. We love it and the two couches. We tow it with a '11 Chevrolet Silverado Crew Cab 6.2L and it tows great. We don't LOAD the trailer down ever, and I travel with my tanks empty. I haven't met a hill that I cannot accelerate up, including the Tahoe area, Mammoth Mtn., I-8 coming out of El Centro to San Diego or the Grapevine on I-5. The only thing we don't care for is the front window. It is not insulated at all, so we keep silver insulation covering it on the inside rendering it useless.... Recommend.

As a Flagstaff owner with a windshield, camping in spring and fall with dual pane windows and the spray foam under carriage I can tell you that we got Zero condensation, and this trailer was significantly warmer than our 10 year old previous trailer. I have the exact same trailer but it is a Rockwood. The name is the only thing that is different. I like the trailer but check the fiberglass walls carefully before purchasing one. Mine delaminated after owning it for 5 months and had to have the entire sidewalk removed and replaced. Warranty covered it but I wonder how the repair will hold up over time.

I personally like this floorplan. As someone who partially full times out of a travel trailer (working pipeline), as long as it has ample storage space I prefer not to have an island. Since they typically don't have the openness of a fifth wheel.

We actually looked for a year and it was mainly because we didn't want the Island taking up the floor space. Only had a couple minor problems in this going to be the 3 rd season. Belly covering screws came out, cord on the shade and a stabilizer motor had a gear break. They warrantied that. 2906Ws I think is the model

I like the interior of this one a lot, just wish someone would come up with a good way to incorporate dedicated bunks for kids into this style of trailer. Seperate bunk rooms are nice, but they add so much length and weight to the trailer. If they could do something like replacing the rear couch with 2-3 twin bunk beds that run the same direction as the couch, or use that idea to incorporate some variation of that... idk.

Just not a lot of decent KZbin channels talking about them, especially in-depth like you do.

You can't get to the fridge. The bathroom is directly in front of the outside door and you can get in the bedroom. I like that I can get in my bathroom when traveling but you have to put the right had slide out about a foot to be able to squeeze through and get to the fridge.

Wait... the axel capacity is appropriate? The axels are AT MAXIMUM CAPACITY. To me as a former engineer, this says it’s not built to last, they built it with the cheapest parts to service the load for the shortest time needed (warranty period). They built this to last at least as long as the warranty, and saw no reason to plan for the unit to have a long service life.

Hey JD, I love the layout of this one. That slide out extension to the counter makes it like an island but not really. It is like a peninsula but no storage under. I think you would be fine on the storage features. Flagstaff coaches are pretty nice and seem like a quality built product. It would be a great coach for a couple for long term camping. It has one level for those who may have a difficult time with the stairs too. It gives you many 5th wheel features without having the hitch in the bed of your truck. Some like that idea, but I still prefer the 5th wheel or gooseball connection; just a personal preference. Great review... Are you going to get this one or something different? Thanks, Pat

If you full time in your RV and it isn’t rated for full time use then the manufacturer can negate the warranty and refuse to honor it. There is wording in the warranty paperwork that defines what is full time use and whether it will void the warranty. There are KZbin videos on the subject and it’s never been and issue for me personally but my understanding is most decent dealers won’t even ask and will just try to get the work covered under warranty.

When did these trailers become “travel trailers”? I’ve always known these as trailers...5th wheels as 5th wheels and class a’s as rv’s.
@erhodes3524 жыл бұрын
admorris11 - What I’ve always heard is: Travel trailer is an RV that hitches to the rear of tow vehicle. 5th wheel hitches to the bed of the tow vehicle. Motor home is any land based RV with its own motor. So, MH would include Class A, B, C and all the associated types like Super C. RV is any movable unit with living space inside so it includes all of those. Simply saying trailer would mean any non-motorized unit that is towed behind another vehicle by any configuration. So, it would include flatbed, dump, RV, etc. And it wouldn’t matter whether it was bumper pull, 5th wheel, or gooseneck. So, trailer is very generic where as Travel Trailer means a bumper pull RV. At least, that’s how people refer to them here and how I learned it all.
