I like the direction that Alliance is headed in. The touch screen and Bluetooth controls on the Jayco receive a LOT of negative comments on my Jayco forums. I love Jayco but in this case I would choose Alliance. Being an independent company puts them in a unique situation and I think the quality control is better.

I much prefer this Alliance over the Jayco layout and price. I'd like the up graded suspension, but otherwise the layout wins hands down for me. I could live with the color choice if I had too. I'd probably order one with a different color interior.

I have a 2022 Jayco White hawk and love it. I’ve owned many Jayco products and have had good luck with them. Customer service is great. Alliance is a good product based on research I’ve seen. The one big difference that would make my decision would be the dealership. My Jayco dealership has been great throughout the 20 plus years that I have dealt with them. I have brought from other dealership with nightmares with getting service done. So always include your dealership in your decision on what you buy.

I agree that having switches and relays are much more reliable than a multiplex electrical system. Switches and relays can be bought anywhere but most multiplex systems are proprietary and much more expensive to replace. I personally think that controlling your RV with a smart phone is gimmicky. My money would go to the alliance, hands down.

This was great video and comparison, thanks for this! Is it possible for you to do video on just the travel trailers that are coming or have ABS, SWAY CONTROL, TPMS and CRE3000 on them already. As soon to be first time RVers, we would love to have those on our travel trailers and will give us more confidence on the road and peace of mind.

I’m really loving how some manufacturers are still putting permanently attached ladders on the back. As someone to who uses the ladder almost every trip, I don’t want to deal with the new Lippert detachable design. Just another item to try and pack or keep count of when traveling. I’ve seen the new design rip off when someone was climbing up since there are less attachment points.

Alliance kitchen rocks! I agree with your comment about the "brown" colors in the Alliance. Auto level in the JAYCO is better. Better colors too! OD kitchen and combo grill is great. The JAYCO suspension is superior.

I got a lot out of your video as well as viewer comments. We came close to buying one of these this weekend, but my husband was concerned about the suspension and shackles since we had to replace ours on our Cougar 5th Wheel (that we are selling). I do think a more comparable trailer would have been the Jayco White Hawk with the Delta. FYI, I do like the color on the Delta. You see so many RVs these days that are mostly white or white/gray cabinets, personally I'm getting a little tired of it. Maybe it's because we currently have maple-colored cabinets and it's what I'm used to, but I think the Delta interior looks inviting.

Thanks for all your videos. I would choose the Alliance Deltsa over the Jayco just for the savings of $20k. I love the Alliances floor plan especially the kitchen. My don't likes is that forever brown color cabinets. If I bought the the Alliances the 1st upgrade would be to paint all most of the cabinets white.

I have to agree with Tiffany if you're going to do a Jayco vs. Alliance video you need to show both inside and out, not just one and elude to another as being better or worse. Personally, I don't like the white cabinet trend. I tend to get out and get dirty when camping. With white cabinets, you see a lot of dirt very quickly. JMTS

I would think the delta and white hawk would be a closer comparison… I’m looking at both right now. The White hawk 29bh and the Delta 281bh. Only about $1,000 difference.

Like the Alliance. The kitchen is far more usable, w/ no real tradeoff in the living room. Like the colors vs white. It will age and wear better I think. Wet bay on jayco is better though.

How can we compare these trailers when all we saw of the Jayco was the outside corner and your verbal description of the levelling and suspension? Maybe next time do a point by point comparison.

Hi JD, I am not a fan of the cable system for the slide out, also I would much rather have a torsion bar suspension over leaf springs any day, also lacking is the shower miser system and standard TPMS on these trailers. Oh wait a minute I think I am talking about a ROCKWOOD product!

I will go with the Jayco Eagle. I noticed you spent more time on the Alliance, no time on the Eagle so it is not fair to say it is a vs or comparison if you don’t spend equal time on both units.

In your Jayco video you mentioned that the countertops were thermofoil. You didn't say what is in the Alliance. I honestly like the floor plan of the Jayco a little more, but at nearly $90K, I'm a bit hesitant to give the Jayco the checkered flag when using the cheapest countertops used in RVs, not to mention the extremely low payload capacity on the Jayco.

I'm definitely an alliance fan boy, but i think they missed the mark with the Delta trailers. They have fewer features to lower the price, but i don't think they lowered it enough to be competitive with the features they include. I believe auto leveling is an option from the factory, and I hope upgraded axles are an option too, but it seems dumb that the upgraded suspension isn't standard.

Well, it’s impossible to compare the two units without seeing the interior of the Jayco. Obviously, your description of the Jayco certainly sounds like it’s the nicer unit, but it’s $20k more money. For $20k, it’s likely many of the things you like about Jayco can be added to the Alliance. So really, it’s about the interior layout and materials. If you can add everything to the Alliance that the Jayco has for $20K, but the interior of the Jayco is more luxurious as you say, then I would probably go with the Jayco if it has a nice floorplan. I think the manufacturing process, the customer service, and the overall customer experience, and reviews also need to be considered, especially for a unit that has an MSRP of $90k. I personally would never buy a travel trailer with such a high MSRP, so I’d likely forgo the additional bells and whistles the Jaco has and would lean more towards the Alliance, although $70k for a travel trailer is still a lot of money for a trailer! But, everyone is different, with different budgets, tastes and requirements which is why you have these two similar but different travel trailers.

I don't believe that Jayco uses Azdel or a like composite material in the Eagles, which really confuses me since they do use it in lower price point Jayfeathers and Whitehawks. i do agree with you that Alliance needs to include the upgraded suspension components like they do on their fifth wheels.

This is actually a apples and oranges comparison. A better comparison would be with a Jayco product with a $70k MSRP range. Don't know if that would be a Whitehawk or a Feather, but it certainly isnt an Eagle. The Deltas arent seeking to be competitive with Eagles as far as features are concerned. The price point doesn't allow for that.

I have to respectfully disagree with the concept that the antilock brakes and sway control should be mandatory. That is some fairly expensive tech that is not necessary for a large portion of RV towing public, so why force people to pay for it when they don't need it. While there are many people that do tow their RV many miles each year, I believe there are far more that rarely travel more than 100 miles from home and then only once or twice per year. Many of those people purchase RV's on the cheap end of the price curve because they know they won't use them much. Driving up the cost of all units will just cause more people to throw in the towel on RVing.

I will take the Alliance because: No dinette. No island . More counter space with integrated eating area. And I actually prefer scissor jacks but would add a JT Armstrong or Morryde X brace. With that said I have no clue how the stability would be on the Jayco landing gear. Also, supposedly that oversized ladder was the only kind Alliance could get during the pandemic. The customers liked it, so they kept it. And I’m not knocking the Jayco. I once owned a Jayco and they honored their warranty amazingly.

@jghones1755-I think the ladder you’re speaking of is on the Alliance Avenues. The Delta ladders were designed for the Deltas so that it could be used as a towel rack. And I love what they’ve done with the first generation of Deltas. And like you, I’ve owned a Jayco and loved it too.

This really isn’t an apples to apples comparison. I just recently purchased an Alliance Delta and the Jayco model it’s more comparable to is the White Hawk. I like Jayco products but found the Delta to be far superior.

If I was going to get a big, heavy trailer, I think it would be a 5th wheel instead of a bumper pull. Both of these trailers have limited load capacities.

I was expecting a true comparison of the two but instead was an opinion of what you like on the Jayco. Both manufacturers make great products. Azdale should be standard from Jayco and it is not. The roofing system material that is used on the Alliance is very easy to repair. I have no idea what Jayco even uses. As far as the colors of the interior that is a personal preference. I would have liked to have seen more on the Jayco especially since it costs so much more. Also Alliance uses color coded wiring which makes it easier to track down issues. What does Jayco use? What is the manufacturer like to deal with if there is a major issue? This was more of your opinion of what you like versus a true review and comparison

If I had $90k would get the Jayco. However if you upgrade the suspension and put ABS on the Alliance you would be around $75k. Jayco is nicer and Alliance is better value. In this economy they will have problems selling either at these prices IMO.

I could not disagree with you more when it comes to the color choices you discuss at 6:10 . Design language is so subjective and I'll concede that the neutral brown tones are not the most trendy, but they look clean, balanced, warm, and finished. While I do not tour the number of trailers you do, the ones I have seen that lean heavily into the white, or white/black combo do not look good to me. Firstly, lets be practical about the construction process RV's go through. It is not conducive to the time needed to make painted wood look properly finished so the cabinetry often feels rushed and inelegant . Add to that, the environment these are designed to be used in where the out doors come indoors and whites quickly take on a dinge. I respect your opinion, but I am also glad there are brands like Alliance and Grand Design that take a more traditional approach.
