Great video! That wiring looks 100% easier than the previous method. Also, thanks to another You Tube video, I found out that the lock/unlock keypad code for the truck (for my 2023 F-450 Limited) is found behind the small panel you showed at 15:17 in your video!

Thank you for finding that. I'm going to re-run my + wire thru that hole verses all the way to the rear of the cab where the inverter is normally located which my 2023 F250 STX doesn't have. I ran a 8 gauge positive on a 30 amp fuse to a fused 6 gang distro block and ran my leads to warning lights, scanner and ham radio off that block.

I'd like to know what size grommet did you use and what type of wire/cable did you use- it looks shielded somehow- great video- I'm going to see it my F150 STX has that access hole

Maybe consider splicing in a water proof plug under the cab in case ford dealer needs to raise your cab to perform any service work.

That's a great video passenger fender wall why is it so far off of the body of the truck is there black molding in between the fender flare and the truck just wondering it seems like there's just a big gap there

Hi, you will use alot more battery the way you wired it. You want the shortest distance. For all wires. But even if it a small draw, over hours will drain your battery. Yes you have two fator at work 1 is a starter battery is made for high amp draw short duration ( IE.... 600 amp starter battery, will draw 600amp for very short time,; you ever try to start a truck that just run out of gas, it cranks over but will drain battery more than likey before it can pull the gas from the tank . 2 you ever forget to shut off the dome light, or leave the lights on by morning your battery don't have the amps to start the engine newer trucks are bad about this they have a very high starting draw and will just go click...click...

Shortest meaning wires from panels to controller and controller to battery and then wires from battery to inverter.

Or in your case from battery to act. Power. DC current drops over distance and size of wire

@@JN-ou9wsso your saying in theory the back tail lights would draw more power than the front parking lights because of the distance of wire used for the tail lights? 🤔 How does that not drain your battery. There are times I keep my parking lights on all night when I park at truck stops and the truck starts the next morning. This is on a 2020 F350.

He has that particular accessory wired to a “switched” 12v relay. So it will only come on when the truck is running. It’s not going to drain BOTH of his 750 CCA Batteries and keep it from starting. 🙄
