Interesting, but was curious about the beginnings of Orian. How you decided you needed something so big vs a Class A, how you picked him out, etc.
@bigtruckbigtravelsАй бұрын
We looked at Class A's, but a 5th wheel seemed more like a home. Safety was a factor so a semi-truck is definitely safer than a motorhome. Plus an HDT will last longer than a pickup truck needing fewer repairs since they are designed for the miles with a load. It's not an easy way to RV but we enjoy it. Thanks for watching the channel

Another very enjoyable video. I love your storytelling and that you both are always so calm and joyful. Glad you bring us along on your journey. Thank you both! By the way, I love Sondra’s logic… oh darn, I guess I’m just going to have to go back to the scrap book store! ❤

We stayed at that Sioux City park in 2020. It was nice.

We were very pleased with the park. It was unexpectedly nice. We'll definitely return. Thanks.

Agreed. But we'll have more down here. 😊

Sondra must be cold natured. She’s always wearing her ear muffs. I don’t blame her!! 😎

Very cold natured! I think she only took her parka off about 7 times in Alaska!

Orion is absolutely gorgeous, but I could easily travel the US in Curiosity with no problems.

Both are nice. Curiosity is definitely more flexible but we're more comfortable in Orion.

Nice to see all renewed appreciation for your home. 6 months away Navigator probably blew some black smoke before forgiving you for all that abandonment.

I think it's acting really good so we don't leave it again! Lol. Thanks for the comments. 😃

So I thought you guys got rid your rig for the C Class. I am really glad you did not.
@bigtruckbigtravels Жыл бұрын
😆 no way are we getting rid of the big rig! It's our home! We enjoyed the Class C for Alaska since it's so much more flexible and agile but really glad to be back home. 😀

@@bigtruckbigtravels So is the trailer on Odyssey a custom highway trailer frame? It is so sweet from what you have shown us. I really gonna enjoy future travels. Be safe.
@bigtruckbigtravels Жыл бұрын
@KickininMyRv90 yes. It's based on a semi trailer frame but custom built for our 5th wheel. Standard semi running gear with air brakes & air suspension. We are a true 18 wheeler.
@KickininMyRv90 Жыл бұрын
@@bigtruckbigtravels Interesting, so do you require a AZ license and CDL classification with mentioned True 18 Wheeler?
@bigtruckbigtravels Жыл бұрын
@KickininMyRv90 no. Since it is registered and titled as a private truck then you don't need a CDL. Texas requires a Class A non-commercial endorsement on the license. There was a road test and written test you had to pass.

I'm so glad you're both back. You had your Whataburger fix! We live in Middle Tennessee, and we have Whataburgers now. This Texan we know said they are better out there. Can't wait to see the upcoming videos.

Thanks for watching, Teresa. I think Texas Whataburgers are better but I'll take them wherever I can get them. 😆

Good to see you two back in Orion. It’s always good to spend time with family and reunite with friends. There was a lot of adventure in this one video…one of your best!

Thanks, Keenan. We'll try to slow down a bit for the holidays but then we're off for the winter out west and more adventures...oh, we may have a few more this year! LOL

David, the fact that you and Greg are using the same kingpin lock is a strong endorsement; what was the brand of that lock. We are planning a trip into Canada and may leave our rig unattended while we take a scenic train ride across Canada, and a lock would provide peace of mind. TIA
@bigtruckbigtravels11 ай бұрын
Thanks, John. We use a Curt lock. Nothing is fool proof but it adds peace of mind. I tried to attach a pic but YT won't let me.

Your uncle has a beautiful farm. Great place to boondock.

Thank you. Beautiful boondocking spot and so quiet... except when the coyotes get noisy or the raccoons fight! 😆
