As being a student of economics, I would gladly say that we were taught this, also, not to mention.....the reason of this is due to increasing population of India and the huge sum of money it would require, but our government did planned a survey back in 2020 (which was cancelled due to COVID) then it was announced to be taken somewhere after '21 or '23 (somewhere when COVID will end) but it still hasn't been done yet. Currently it is planned in the year 2024 which is most likely gonna be in 2025 Although I would say that census would require a lotta resources but according to the data, it will be 1000% worth it and would also impact India (in a good way)

Survey😶while only the city patna has more than 4000 as per their council., not to mention other 40 districts... And in my region no one knows where this survey was conducted... I am an so called upper caste bengali (Kayastha) of Tripura, we live on a tribal owned land, but we bought it with money, so on paper, the land is not our. All our properties were lost due to partition of Bengal. We came to Tripura from comilla, Bangladesh during the partition. My father is the sole earning member of my family, he runs a small shop. Now, we don't own any land on paper & savings is also very less. Am I not deprived of resources? How do we survive? Already Competition is very high in job market as reservation is also very high, but doing politics for its expansion is not good at all for the country. I am grateful to PM Modi , as he gave me the EWS reservation. But this EWS reservation is also not fruitful as we thought it would be, as it is only for selective fields not for jobs (only for admission in central govt institutions), it is not helping us practically. So, Please be sensitive before raising such issues.

Example ke liye election se pehle media Wale apna survey krke taal thok ke bolte hai ki humne survey Kiya yahi jeetenge itni hi seat aayegi. Last ne pata chalta hai ki survey jyadatar galat hi nikalte hai real result se. Isliye me census ko support krta hu. सेंसेस और सर्वे साथ होना चाहिए अगर जातियां खत्म नहीं की जा रही तो बेहतर है जातियों के अनुपातिक आधार पर उनकी हिस्सेदारी तय की जानी चाहिए किस जाति के लोग कहां पर कमजोर है और कहां पर समृद्ध उसी हिसाब से शिक्षा, नौकरी, संसद सदस्य, जजों की संख्या विश्वविद्यालय में कुलपति शिक्षक और कर्मचारी यानी सभी संस्थानों में जातिगत अनुपात में उनकी हिस्सेदारी निश्चित हो जानी चाहिए.... जिस आरक्षण संबंधित मामला खत्म हो जाएगा

@@singularity3021 ... करीब 19 देश में रिजर्वेशन पॉलिसी लागू की गई है जिनके नाम अलग अलग है जर्सी अमेरिका में रिजर्वेशन को एफर्मेटिव एक्शन कहते हैं इसके तहत ब्लैक लोगों को रिजर्वेशन दी जाती है यह रिजर्वेशन यहां तक है की की हॉलीवुड की कोई फिल्म जब तक उसमें एक ब्लैक कैरेक्टर नहीं होगा तब तक उसको पास नहीं किया जाएगा अब बताएं अमेरिका क्या पिछड़ा हुआ है..... भारत में तो रिजर्वेशन ठीक से लागू ही नहीं हुआ है अन्यथा हम लोग विकसित देशों से ऊपर पहुंच गए होते

I don't believe in caste system , but most of Indians do . Thus there must be caste based surveys, so that representation from each group can be checked. Caste survey can help to uplift millions of backward class people.

Promoting more and more caste reservation only for political gains isn't good for the future of our country. I am an so called upper caste bengali (Kayastha) of Tripura, we live on a tribal owned land, but we bought it with money, so on paper, the land is not our. All our properties were lost due to partition of Bengal. We came to Tripura from comilla, Bangladesh during the partition. My father is the sole earning member of my family, he runs a small shop. Now, we don't own any land on paper & savings is also very less. Am I not deprived of resources? How do we survive? Already Competition is very high in job market as reservation is also very high, but doing politics for its expansion is not good at all for the country. I am grateful to PM Modi , as he gave me the EWS reservation. But this EWS reservation is also not fruitful as we thought it would be, as it is only for selective fields not for jobs (only for admission in central govt institutions), it is not helping us practically. So, Please be sensitive before raising such issues.

There should be a digital census that can be updated in real time. Also there should be data centres alongside every post office that will periodically analyse the digital data and keep records as hard copies. Just think how helpful it would have been when there was lockdown due to Covid-19 if the state governments knew how many of its people were working outside of the state and where, or whether they are financially well off or in need of help.
