Some good tips on here Jeff, my favourite was putting the fiber washer on the inner CRM so the bars flex, Ive been doing full wraps about 15 years and never considered that.

Couple thoughts from someone that is ocd about bike setup. Your rear wheel tubliss has the high pressure stem nut backed off from the red cap- it will eventually self tighten against the rim and separate the high pressure core rubber where the stem is glued into the rubber tube. Solution is those caps with valve stem removers that come with rubber gasket inside. Keep the nut for tire changes though. Second the lhrb is great but man is it low, and if you're going downhill that makes it even harder to reach. When I flattened out my levers (even more than yours) I noticed way less arm pump so you can try raising them a bit for people that have arm pump issues (not sure if Jeff does). Great to know front moose works well, seems to be go to setup these days for the front at least, not having to worry about plugs that might not work with a big slice. I've just been running my exhaust pipe w no guard and have a hydro blow out kit for it because when the guards are strong other things break like exhaust flange or lower exhaust mount. I've seen peg mounts break with those strong pegs, so I run oem mostly due to wanting the foot rest to break before the frame mounts do. Stock pegs work well for me. Excellent video!
@slaverace1
@slaverace1 3 жыл бұрын
I'm not OCD so I don't obsess about the valve stem nut. I stand up most of the time and the lever position works for me and I'm the only one riding that bike and I don't have arm pump issues. The clutch lever position is high but I don't use it. I let the Rekluse do its job. Pipe? To each his own. Footpegs? Nothing wrong with the OEM pegs but the lowboy position of the Fastway pegs is more comfortable for me. Thank you.

@@slaverace1 yep I gotcha, not trying to debate just pointing stuff out that I do differently due to past issues. The valve stem nut I've seen cause problems on the trail when the inner core goes. I check the high px tube every tire change to make sure it's not failing. I forgot you have a rekluse so makes sense about lever position, I just like mine flatter when standing, seems to apply force through my forearm vs having to hold on tighter to bars. That's an amazing setup, would be very interested to watch some trail videos!

Awesome video Jeff, love the additions and especially agree with the LHB ... the Clake may be a better set up tho Small addition is to Zip Tie the rear brake cable under the clip in holder that runs along the swing arm, have had a stick push it out and then hooked by the knobs on the rear -> no rear brake ... Another addition is to replace the standard Reeds ... Wish we had a Slavens in Aus ... interested in opening a franchise ???

Thanks for the feedback. We'll have to agree to disagree about the Clake...too complicated, difficult to bleed, heavy and expensive. I use Vforce reeds in several of my bikes but they don't fit with the GET Race Kit.
@TheIcedvolvo
@TheIcedvolvo 5 жыл бұрын
@@slaverace1 I agree about the full Clake, I use the simple LHB dual control cos I prefer the lever setup to the Rekluse Ahhh I wondered wondered why no VForce reeds ... BTW I met u when I raced in the US back in the 80s with Jeff Ward and Ron Lechien, glad you are still going: I'm 63 and quicker on my 300 then I was on my old 500s :-)

Nice video, product opinions based on experience and actual knowledge , unlike imo some other “dirtbikechannels”. I have the Husky version and just love it, most fun I’ve had on a bike in years (coming off a 2017 350 xcf). Im running then Rekluse radius cx, best Rekluse auto yet in my opinion.

Probably Not a better set-up bike on the planet!....That's like a dream build. On my meager salary I'd never be able to afford even a new bike these days let alone all the awesome upgrades you did. Be interesting to know "all-in" what you have into the bike. Bike, Parts, labor. My wild guess is 16k...maybe?

Is that clutch cover a replacement or is it on top of the stock one?
@andrejskamla9736
@andrejskamla9736 5 жыл бұрын
It is replacement. Good product but it uses paper type seal which needs to be replaced every time you take off your clutch cover. Don't do the mistake and buy those shitty plastic polisport clutch covers... You can get yourself into serious problems because of it.... You can also get rekluse or hinson covers, but this carbon up is really the most reliable clutch cover...
