Nice bike and set-up. I'd go more solo with a larger top box, not adding the side panniers unless required.

I love mine. I have tipped and bruised the Zega Pro - I pounded out the dent - no problem. I have pretty much all the parts they put on - but the skid plate and crashbar i used AltRider - and I got Barkbusters. Touratech stuff is great though - and ships super fast - great customer service.

I would just love to ride around Washington and Oregon, looking at those shots are amazing, another great ride would be Crater Lake and the coast.

what happens to the panniers if you dump the bike and bend the rim? Will the lids still fit?

Hey what screen is on the bike? Nice accessories.

Nice accessories. Just wish those add-ons didn't cost 200% more than they should. I could another bike for the money...

ddentrec2, I couldn't agree more. If I was going round the world it would be on an XT660R. No screen, no panniers but I would have a metal top box and a yachting bag. Plus a small tank bag. All this clutter on these overweight bikes makes them look like mobile Christmas trees to me.

In my view all that Touratech stuff just adds extra weight and 'pose' factor. Have travelled to Iceland overland on an XTZ750 and XTZ660 in the 1990s with just basic stuff to keep the weight down. If you want to go 'Adventure' get an XTZ660 and some lightweight Givi panniers and leave all that Toutratec bling at home.
@tomdewsbury945610 жыл бұрын
why are all panniers wider than the bars..dont work in traffic here in england but where you are they work wonders...shame "the wife" hasnt got a name...
