Great video! The sock you mentioned on the canyon aeroad comes now on all the aeroads. Beside the problem they had with the broken handle bar, they also had a problem with friction between the seatpost and frame. This sock is the solution to that problem.

Another fantastic video! I very much value your work and thank you for your service to our biking community! * I was surprised that the Canyon Ultimate was relatively relaxed for a race bike in my own research and it is great to see your formula pick up on that.

Good shout on the sizing issue, it is daft that you can be a L in some brands but close to a S in others. One obvious solution if you have a current bikes that fits well is just to try and replicate that geometry as close as you can on your new purchase. Your tip of looking at the TT length rather than the actual sizing is a good one, IMO

I believe the rubber bit on the aeroad is to stop the seat post and frame from rubbing against each other. It used to be a major issue akin to the handlebar dilemma.

That’s what I thought as well. Probably this version and the press photos are made after Canyon fixed the seatpost problem. Probably the previous versions didn’t got an update of the press photos.

I always enjoy your videos. They are a delight. On this video, I really liked your approach. As I am sitting on my coach having breakfast, I am wondering if you have the spreadsheet on your website so I can see where my IZALCO MAX DISC 8.9 would fit. I did get the 403 Forbidden error on your website this morning. Anyway great video! When buying my latest bike, I was hesitating beween the Merida Reacto & Focus bike (I wanted a more racy bike then my Cube Attain), but availability of bikes made me go for the Focus. Looking at your reviews with the Merida, I wonder if I made the right choice. Thanks

With the intro of the ridiculously priced Sworks Crux I would like to see a comparison between that one and the Orbea Terra, Cannondale gravel bikes, … Especially discussing why the market it as a gravel bike while they have the diverge already and the crux used to be a cross bike..

ah yes, see what you mean - hopefully I will get time at some point - at first glance the big problem with these bikes are they are too heavy - the hidden cables are great, but come at the cost of weight :(

I would also like to ask you to check out some 'value' bikes from the chinese carbon scene! It would be very interesting to see how they compare to bikes from bigger brands with comparable geometry. Winspace T1500 Yoeleo R21 Trifox bikes...others? How do they stack up to the big hitters in terms of geometry? Thanks for the great content!

I'm 5,10 also and my shop are saying I need a cube agree c:62 in a 56. However, I'm worried it might be a bit too big for me in a 56. I can't try one as they are so low in stock. What would you recommend please in size for a cube agree c62 for 5,10, 53 or 56 please ?

Interesting content, thank you. But i see major problem that you trying to compare bikes while using only frameset geo; with different stem length/angle, different handlebar reach/drop, with different seatpost seatback, even different tyre size (bb height) you will get such different bikes even with same frame. So i think for better understanding you need account all parts of bike in whole pack, not just frame geo. Also on photos can be different bike sizes, usually it is M size but sometimes it can be something other, for example for 2022 zenium crw they use S size i think.

@Bikotic Your formula or preferably a second formula (1 for geometry the 2 for value) that should include 2 numbers for the grouppo* and 1 for the wheel value. * Because : 1- In the same price range two bikes may have a grouppo of a different price/level - not frequent but ... 2- In lower price range the grouppo may be incomplete i.e substitute brakes, crankset, ... I have been playing with the value formula - this year even less manufacturers have listed any weights of their bikes, so the price weight formula has gone cold. re. wheels, they can be a good value indicator, but on a large proportion of bikes there is no information available. Quite often they're cobbled together from the parts bin! Thanks for the comment.
