Correction on Domane. You can’t adjust iso speed it’s only one setting for the new gen 4. Also, the Domane has an RSL model which is a race model with the same aero profile as the Madone.

Surprised no Giant Defy. Looks really nice, with ability to fit 38mm tyres. Very high on my list (already own the 2015).

I agree it is the best value entry level endurance bike. Solid components, very light, very agile, very comfortable. Only thing is, it is a bit unstable. Especially on descents. It was my entry bike in 2021. Switched to Caledonia one year later.

Rose is a fantastic brand in general. Jut got a Dura Ace equipped Xlite 06 for 6500€ (the matte black one is currently on sale for 6000€). That's literally half the price of what I would pay for a comparable bike from one of the big brands.

@@nekekaminger ooh i got a lot of questions :D because i maybe want to upgrade to an Xlite or Reveal model as well. in a year or so... i tested the Xlite 04 with the sram components for only 15min. but it felt so much better than the pro sl in so many ways. i would like to know how much the xlite06 was or will be able to boost your performance .. if you upgraded from an light weight endurace bike as well.. if it was an aero bike already i think the differnece might not be that big of an deal. but if a bike can elevat you from an 25-27 kmh,where i am already at to an 30-35kmh or even better average speed than it would be worth every single penny :D and i am wondering if a bike that weighs 2kg less and has better aero characteristics is realy worth that 6.000€ (for none professional riders like me) so if you got a page where i can follow.. pls hit me up :DD
@nekekaminger4 ай бұрын
@@tom_tom_k98 Well, first off let me point out that while obviously a Dura Ace bike for 6,5k is a much better deal than a Dura Ace bike for 12k I still think the value for money is pretty bad for a hobbyist. There's essentially only two scenarios in which I would recommend buying a bike like that: 1) if you have enough money that spending 6,5k on a bike isn't really that big of a deal for you and you simply enjoy riding a high end bike for the sake of it 2) if you actually win prize money in races and expect to get a reasonable return on your investment I fall in the first category in case you are wondering. If you need to keep an eye on your finances, definitely stick to the Xlite/Reveal 04 range with a 105 level drivetrain. I haven't specifically compared the Xlite 04 and Xlite 06, but I would be very surprised if the average speed you can get on any of the Xlite 04 models isn't less than 1km/h below what you can do on an Xlite 06 Dura Ace. If you can do 27 km/h on your Pro SL than MAYBE you can barely do 30 km/h on an Xlite, but that's really the maximum improvement I would expect. At long enough distances your average speed may actually be worse than with the Pro SL because the stretched out position you ride in on the Xlite puts some serious strain on your arms, core, wrists and butt and you may end up tiring faster and having to take more/longer breaks. For longer rides you'll probably get much better results from putting some 100€ aero bars on your Pro SL (which you can't do on the Xlite models with a one piece cockpit). My first road bike was a Canyon Endurace with mechanical 11 speed Ultegra and last year I got a Specialized Aethos with 12 speed Ultegra Di2, on which I installed some aero bars. Ironically my personal record over 20km (33:04 min, 36,42 km/h) is still held by the Canyon, which was by far the cheapest and has the most relaxed geometry, however I have been focusing more on endurance rides than sprints in the last two seasons, so I'm not actually sure how fast I could do 20km on the Xlite if I really put my mind to it. Ultimately the best bike for you is the one that makes you want to ride the most, so if you have the money and really want a high end bike, go for it, but I wouldn't expect huge performance improvements just from switching out the bike.
@tom_tom_k984 ай бұрын
@@nekekaminger ok thx alot. you gave me a lot of good informations. yeah my average speed is round about 25kmh on 100-200km distances ,sometimes more and sometimes less. And i feel like i am not the 30kmh right from the start guy :D i need 2h warm up to ride 30-35 for an hour straight :DD ok i think a xlite04 would be the most likely deal for me anyways because they start at 3.300€ or so.. and the 06 models i have seen had 6.000€ prize tags :D thats a good point.. comfortable bike means better ride. i think i will stick to my pro sl for a little bit longer now and try to improve my average speed with my strengeth. because right now it would be a big deal to me to buy a bike like that :DD and i think i am more into the long distance thing than 35kmh after work rides :D so after all thanks for the comment. have a good one with your new bike :)

Check out the Colnago C68 Allroad. Same cost as the Caledonia 5 (Dura Ace or SRAM red). The C68 Allroad is a true work of Italian art, lighter weight, and will exceed the Caledonia in all the other categories.

@99spokes Жыл бұрын
A lot of that come down to what the component manufacturer has available for the price point the frame manufacturer is looking to spec the bike with, and there’s sadly not too many companies making inexpensive cranks shorter than 170. The 47cm Domane does come with 165s though
