I am amazed how much difference a small change in stem length can make. I replaced the one on my bike with a Redshift suspension stem - the choice was slightly shorter or much longer, so I went for the shorter stem. I immediately felt cramped, despite moving the saddle back and raising its height. I think that I'm going to have to revert to the longer stem and forego the advantages of the suspension, not to mention the cost!

It’s surprising how a small change in stem length can have such a big impact on comfort and riding position! It’s great that you’re experimenting to find what works best for you! Let us know how it goes!

@@cyclemaintenanceacademy I'm happy to say that raising the handlebars solved my problem. I now have a comfortable ride with the added bonus of the suspension stem.
