I like the style of your touring. I don't like the regimented schedule of having to be at a certain place at a certain time. I like the challenge of not knowing where I'm going to stay. Yes, it can lead to some hardship but that just makes for more memories.

@@TravelingThru222 lol. I'm in the apple business. We make buildings and equipment to store the fruit so it can last in storage for a year or more. We do the refrigeration, nitrogen generation, CO2 scrubbing, data logging, etc.

Just did all the sections in Vermont that you were looking at. A lot of the flood damage on the roads has been cleaned up. There are a few washed out sections, but mainly the damage is residual on people's properties. It was a blast and I can't wait to do Vermont again

Love your vids. It gets me motivated to get out and go pedaling somewhere. How often do you need to eat and what types of food do you eat to keep your calories up for all those miles?
@TravelingThru222 Жыл бұрын
I try to eat every 20 miles or so, diet is a weird subject. I try to eat healthy in everyday life, but when I step on the bike I’m not hungry for broccoli and rice, I want gummy worms and bagels. I feel anything goes when you’re trying to make distance. I wouldn’t be the best barometer for healthy diet advice. I eat anything and everything on the road, the more calories the better.

@@TravelingThru222 thanks. I have spent a ton of time climbing in the gunks but despite having a bike pass for many years attached to my climbing pass, I never really biked there. Looking for dry bikepacking options as our virtually snow less winter malingers into snowy spring mucking things up.

How often do you encounter asshole/inattentive drivers while riding on the shoulders? You feel safe generally?
@TravelingThru222 Жыл бұрын
I never really encounter A-hole drivers and I always feel safe. I also think it could be a matter of perspective. I feel cyclists can tend to have an entitled attitude, there’s a time and place to be riding a bike in the middle of the road. Be safe.
