Shimano has two main categories of groupsets... Mtb and roadbike. ( Although they do have separate trekking and gravel groupsets too). A groupset refers to the combination of cassette, rear derailleur, front derailleur, crankset, chain, shifters and brakes. Shimano's mtb groupset starts in ascending order of price as - tourney tz, tourney, tourney tx, altus, altus shadow, acera, acera shadow, alivio, Deore, Deore SLX, Saint, XT, XT DI 2 (wireless version of XT) Zee, XTR, XTR DI 2 (wireless version of XTR) The roadbike groupset starts at Shimano A030 Shimano A050 Shimano tourney (roadbike version) Shimano claris Shimano sora Shimano tiagra Shimano 105 Shimano ultegra Shimano ultegra DI 2 (wireless version of ultegra) Shimano Dura ace Shimano Dura Ace DI 2. (Wireless version of Dura Ace). Shimano tourney in mtbs is seen at 7,000 rs. While you can begin to see shimano XTR components at 10 lac and above. For roadbikes. You can see a mix of tourney and A050 starting at 25,000 rs with durace DI2 becoming something that is seen on bikes above 15 lac rupees.
