Not one mention of the map switches and modes? 3 settings, change on the fly. One is suppose to be really mellow out the power and response for slower enduro riding. I cant believe u didnt review that! That is the biggest appeal to this bike is the ability to do track, trails, and enduro.

Is it really that pink? or a sneeze during colorgrading?
@othersideimages Жыл бұрын
I think of getting one, I am a leasure rider driving my current CRF 250L through woods and paths. I am ambitious and drive at maximum possible speed. I saw a matrix, though, that the RX is close to motocross and thus NOT engineered for softer/slower trail riding and not a leasure Enduro - what are your thoughts on this? Thanks!
@tom97zr22 жыл бұрын
I've rode these bikes, RX and R, and I revalved the suspension on both of them. In tight rough woods, The suspension is too stiff for that type of riding. The fork valving is actually a little stiffer than the R model, and the shock valving is exactly the same on the R, so the bike does not feel good on rough rooty and rocky trails. With the big tank it also does feel heavier than the R model in tight trails.
@nicholaswickwire39222 жыл бұрын
Definitely, I had to soften up both ends on my RX substantially to get it to work decent on rocky terrain. Still had the same harsh spot as my R did on the forks. Will have the suspension redone like I did on my R.

The 2022 model is too stiff for trails? I’ve heard the suspension is softer on the 2022 vs the 2021
@tom97zr22 жыл бұрын
@@whiskeytango854 nooo, it's way stiffer on the 2022, I know because I work on the valving on the 2022's and all of the previous years bikes, and I've ridden them.

REKLUSE Clutch, no flame outs in tight tech hard enduro situations
@easternyellowjacket2762 жыл бұрын
Rekluse helps, but it certainly doesn't eliminate flame outs. At least not on my RMX 450. Another advantage though of a Rekluse, is when your bike does unexpectantly flame out, it doesn't lurch or lock up. With the Rekluse, it rolls along and you just hit the start button and keep going.

Rekluse on my 22 rx love it. Old and need all the help possible haha
@easternyellowjacket276 Жыл бұрын
@@pmdracing Thanks for the tip. But its FI. I do run the throttle on it a little higher. Also geared way down to a 12/51. Be that as it may, when the bike gets hot, like all 4 strokes due, it will occasionally and without warning, flame out. The beauty of the Rekluse is the bike keeps rolling and can get it fired right back up again with electric start.
@easternyellowjacket276 Жыл бұрын
@@pmdracing Totally! I'm 55 and still riding. Rekluse is fantastic. Gives us more options. 😉

This guy clearly is up Hondas rear end as he won’t even mention other brands in this. He says “other Austrian brands”. They very much so focused only on where this bike is good. If you rode this on east coast/Midwest single track it just wouldn’t do what you wanted. Not say it’s not a good bike because it is! But the review has very narrow scope.
@easternyellowjacket2762 жыл бұрын
@@pbninja11 True. Though it sounds like the motor would be good in tighter tech with its mellower hit and more low end/mid range and torque. The tranny would be a detriment, as is the suspension.

@@kohln9582 just took it out yesterday. Obviously a lot taller which don’t bother me. I think it’ll be perfect in the trails after I add a cooling fan. We do a lot of slow riding in the summer. The fan is insurance. Seems a bit fast at first gear idle for really super slow riding. But clutch control is still very easy. The weight is awesome compared to the f. So much more power. So far I’m glad I made the switch. Don’t get me wrong though because the f is a absolute solid trail bike.
