Well done Chris doing that in five minutes. Most people drastically under estimate the time needed for things. I roll my eyes so hard when people review things say "fitting only takes 10 minutes." Bullshit. Really the time that it actually takes is 30 minutes. From the moment your butt leaves the couch to gathering tools, opening the package, cleaning up tools, packaging, old parts and washing up to the moment your butt is BACK on the couch. Even a slip on will take you at least 30 minutes if not an hour. That's the true time. Like they say nothing takes 5 minutes.

I put a Yoshimura Alpha style exhaust, and a mid-pipe on my bike a few months ago, and it sounds epic! It's very similar to the Scorpion exhaust; same tapered shape, a carbon fibre end cap, but with a lovely titanium finished stainless steel body. The size and shape really suits the bike, and it's not overly loud and annoying. I can't understand why manufactures put huge, ugly exhausts on their bikes. I know Euro 5 has increased the size, but I love the way Ducati solved the problem by splitting the exhaust in two smaller pipes on the Monster. Other bikes in their line-up also have neater exhausts, like the Diavel.

I had the same bike & fitted the same end can. Differences are: It's lighter, it sounds a bit nicer, it looks nicer. Par for the course for an end-can swap. How much those things matter to you & how much you think they're worth paying for will vary by person. The suspension & brakes on this bike are pretty good out of the box, for it's category. If you're going to take it on track, I'm sure they could be improved.

@Aperture.012 жыл бұрын
I think you can see it at 3:07 in the pipe of the stock slipon. Some slipons don't use it, and I think that's the case here. Look at the diameter of the new midpipe, no way you'll get it in there.

I know the gasket you're talking about - it's in the stock silencer and came off with it. The slip on and link pipe don't use a gasket, they just slide straight on to the headers. The rat you can smell was just out of shot, eating the fuel breathers on my RGV the little bugger.
