I’ve got a hoodlum and an Aquila. They are Very different riding experiences. But equally fun. You get so used to the laid back style of the hoodlum, So as a man over 40 I need to warm up and stretch my back before I take out my Aquila, as the mid position leaves me a little cramped but well worth the notts. Ps I added a toro exhaust to my hoodlum highly recommend, more power and a world of difference on the exhaust note.! 🤙🏻🤘🏻

My wife and I just passed our CBT - we looked at the Hyosung GV125 and also the Hoodlum and Keeway Supalight, but were worried about reliability of the Chinese imports. We were looking at brand new, so I suppose will have a 2 year warranty, but are they really suitable for our weather in the UK? People have said chrome comes off as not lined with copper first, and that rust is a huge issue with chinese imports - any thoughts from those who have either?
@stephenlennox64912 жыл бұрын
Had my Hoodlum for two years now and no sign of any rust. If you look after them you'll have no trouble. I recommend the Torro exhaust It sounds great and lets the engine breath better.
@prawny120092 жыл бұрын
Bearing quality is often poor so best to change wheel bearings, swingarm and steering bearings to our at very least re grease them. Never run any of them on the factory oil not even to run them in. I've seen Chinese bikes ship with water in the brakes rather than break fluid so best to check that too.

@danielpetit21862 жыл бұрын
In my view the Sinnis Hoodlum is a lovely looking bike, but why the spokes? Spoked wheels are a serious health hazard, as they necessitate inner tubes, which when punctured deflate almost instantly, throwing the bike into a terrifying wobble... (Believe you me, if you’ve experienced it once, you won’t put yourself in that position ever again.) I’d definitely have one of these bikes if Sinnis would change to a tubeless setup. Personally I think the Keeway Superlight is a truly hideous looking cruiser, reminiscent of a gaudy, over-decorated Christmas tree, and the Hyosung Aquila is some kind of monstrous mutation that’s escaped from the laboratory of some mad mechanic.

I'll be kind and say 173 MPG from the Michigan is a typo from them. I've averaged over the first 1,000 miles on mine around 110. I expect a little upwards creep of that figure as it loosens further, but it'll never be near the quoted figure.
@BikeMatters3 жыл бұрын
It is not a typo. We base our figures on what we are told by the manufacturer either directly or from their website. Lexmoto claim 173mpg.

It is a pity that none of these bikes exist in Brazil, but certainly they should cost very cheap, as our country has this dirty, corrupt side, where everything that costs a lot like this would be very expensive here.Here the taxes are very high, a motorcycle like this will cost here at least 4 times more, at least the dirty government of this wonderful country ends up with all of us. @BikeMatters3 жыл бұрын
Completely depends on the person and situation needed. 125 is the max you can ride on a CBT in the UK hence their popularity. Air cooled 125s tend to be slower than liquid cooled models. Max power is 15hp - so some are a lot more powerful than other with top speeds ranging from like 55-80mph.
@voicevoice20533 жыл бұрын
@@BikeMatters I have never heard of a 125 reaching 70/80 mph. Today's traffic flow is between 55-75 mph and any bike that flats out at 55-65 simply isn't keeping up on major roads. You can't ride a bike full speed all the time it will wreak the engine. cruising at 45- 55 on today's roads isn't enough. You will be overtaken a lot by cars all the time andtjats not enjoyable riding or safe maybe 125 are only ok for B roads or local commutes? Making these small engined machines look like powerful cafe racers etc is just a marketing ploy to sell them. to ride a beautiful macho looking bike like this would be a disappointment to find a souped up moped engine in it. But its just my opinion. I support having choice. The laws today are very restrictive. My first bike on L plates was a 250
@tafblader3 жыл бұрын
@@voicevoice2053 it really depends on the roads you drive on. what you're saying is true in the U.S. but 125cc are great for cities and b roads. you can cruise on a superlight at 50-55mph and not every country in the world is just flat straight roads like the us..maybe there's some kind of correlation with mountains roads and being great riders since motorcycles races have been dominated for ages by Italians and spanish riders..don't you think? is always better to have a bike you use almost daily even if it has a small engine than a big monster you only use on weekends or occasional tirps..
