In Episode 1, watch as I attempt the very challenging GB Divide route (as seen in the GB Duro). I battle the elements and the terrain as I push my way towards Wales.

the tears, when you see bristol is normal mate, as soon as you get over the severn bridge to wales, you will cheer right up, with the very gentle hills, never ever rains and the 20 hours a day of sunshine ;) lol

I loved Wales. Looking back, although it was really hard, my favourite section of the trip for sure

Great film showing the true ups and downs of an endurance adventure, one's I can totally relate with. Like you say, you've just got to keep on going. The satisfaction from pushing on through those low moments is immense. I'm heading for episode 2 now...... 👍

Thanks for watching Jason! Before you know it you’re sat in a pub with a hot meal and a cold beer then everything doesn’t feel so bad

Wow! Can’t wait for episode two! Having seen videos of guys cycling the Haute Pyrenees and being brought to their limits, it’s really nice to see that a succession of British hills, and wet weather, can be as gruelling 😁.

I’m not sure to be honest. If you avoid the bridleways you will miss most of the gates

Looking to quit my job and do a few tours in the UK this year. All I have is my enduro bike, it'll have to do and has been adapted. Now it's been a few months, any tips you could give that have stuck with you? Great videos too.

My main regrets would be: 1- I wish I’d given myself more time / flexibility around my schedule 2- taking a cooker was a waste of time The best bike is the one you have! So long as you are comfortable on it for many hours per day

So beautiful and inspiring! What was the month you did it, and what's the best time of the year to complete this amazing journey?

I did this in July. To be honest I have no idea what the best time is, probably best to ask a local!

Great video thank you, although I do feel completely ashamed that you've travelled halfway across the world to do this, whereas I live in the UK and have this almost on my doorstop and have never done it! One question for you - a lot of the going looks really really rough, if you did it again would you pick a hardtail MTB or similar instead with much wider tyres?
@pedallingsquaresNZ
@pedallingsquaresNZ Жыл бұрын
Maybe One day when you’ve got some time to spare! Hmmm it’s a hard one, you’re never going to get the right bike for all of it. If you want a fast time then a gravel bike I think but if I did it again I honestly would a mtb for the comfort on the rougher sections

New Bike! How did you find yourself working with Chapter2? (I also own an AO). Is there a reason why you went solo? I can’t help but wonder if some company may have helped!
@pedallingsquaresNZ
@pedallingsquaresNZ Жыл бұрын
No real reason, just lack of available people to go with i guess! Company would have certainly helped I’d say haha I went to Chapter 2 about this trip I wanted to do and they were onboard to support me. Great team of people :)
