Great upload, thoroughly enjoyable watch. The track around Corrour (Loch Ossian) and over to Rannoch is fantastic and, as you said, stunning scenery on a clear day.

Great video. Just completed it over two days, awesome route with some amazing gravel and scenery.
@br53802 жыл бұрын
I did this in May, camping over 3 days. And second the difficulty in finding campsites, I got lucky on Rannoch and found a small grass site in a firebreak, about 10 miles short of Corrour Station. Pure chance. I used my HT with front suspension, which was perfect for the rough, fast stuff plus had the gearing/grip to get up/over the C. Pass. Once past Killin though, I’d have preferred to have been on my gravel bike.
@philtomlinson82202 жыл бұрын
That IMHO is one of the great things about the route. There isn't really a perfect bike for all of it. I did it back in May also, but on my gravel bike, and whilst this was ok, there were definitely bits which would have been better on a HT.

Great video, thanks. Don't know if any other commenters have pointed this out but on the second night you camped at the ruins of the Old Corrour Lodge (pronounced kuh-roar 😉 ), must have been quite a place back in the day.

Great video, I was watching a Mt Everest Basecamp walk, episode #3 was meant to start next, and somehow your video popped up. Very enjoyable to watch. As a solo trip, does boredom come into it when you're not riding? Surprised not anyone else on that track. Food is impressive. Take care

aha oops, sorry for interrupting your videos, i kinda prefer it to be honest the long winter nights can get a little long but i normally just chill out with the ipod.

Have not been to Scotland. Yet. Your video and drone shots really are beautiful. The clouds look like my home in Oregon. Curious. Were you solo on this trip? Every once in a while you would say "we". If that's too personal no need to answer😁.

Hi, nice video and ride! Is it confortable to ride a bike w/o front suspension in such a rocky roads? Thank you for any advice (I'm looking for a new bike and don't know what to buy)!
@KeepSmilingAdventures2 жыл бұрын
it really depends on where you will be riding, if you have lots of gravel or roads before getting to the trails then gravel bikes are pretty nice, if all the stuff you ride is more rocky and rough then its probably better to go with a mtb. It really all depends on you and what riding you will be doing
@johnnyloco112 жыл бұрын
have you ridden lon las cymru? Think it's a bit of a mix of road/ trail but would make for an interesting ride.

Can I ask why you would opt for the drop bar over the bombtrack for such a route? Not judging, just purely curious?
@KeepSmilingAdventures2 жыл бұрын
Couple reason really the main one being i had to travel up to scotland on a train with them tiny lockers and hooks. Would really struggle to get the bombtrack to fit. And 2nd is after i finished this ride i went straight onto the second city divide route which is much more gravel bike suited.
