You have a new fan. These videos are the perfect length and do a nice job showing the sections of the trail. I live in CO and was planning to bike race the CT this summer until COVID happened. Great, entertaining content. I like the strategy of eating as much real food as possible and limiting the freeze dried food (It keeps the weight down too). Curious how the guys felt with backpacks / camelbaks for that length of a ride, most riders seem to put everything on their bike instead of wearing it. I look forward to the rest of the videos! I still can't believe that Lachlan Morten did the entire trail self supported in 4 days.

Go back and watch last year's cross season. Even if you aren't into cross, Kerry and Becca breaking each other's balls all season is priceless. This video is great tho. That rock stash was DIRTY!!!

Thanks Derek. I was the only one that carried water in my camel back. Those guys just used their packs for light stuff but I couldn't fit my bladder in my frame bag. That is one of the only things I would change about my setup. Cheers.

@@KDubzDidWhat so you are saying you wouldnt use the camel back ? I was thinking of riding with mine, could use the extra storage space.
@ebhkkc12 жыл бұрын
@@irishman3375 yes I would not use your camel for water. Your back will hate you. You can spend 10-14 dollars to strap 2 additional bottle holders on your fork. Trust me...it is all about weight saving. I am doing the CT August 15th , 2022. I had to abandon last year due to an unfortunate crash which crack my rib. I packed way to much. This trail allow you to eat real food which will help you eliminate food weight. TRUST ME you want as little weight as possible.

love the quick cuts! just did the Waterton to S. Platte on a drop bar bike, little bit of hike a bike on the way up- how would you compare that to the other sections?
@KDubzDidWhat4 жыл бұрын
This is one of the more tame sections. Drop bar bike not recommended except on wilderness go arounds. Haha

How can I get one of those map booklets, I'm planning on doing this trail in August 2021, starting my prep/research work now and I'd love to get me hands on one of those. Love the video's, you'll cherish this for the rest of your lives. tia

Sweet bag set-up Kerry! Would you change anything about it?
@KDubzDidWhat4 жыл бұрын
I would have used a different bar bag. Mine is meant for more road and gravel. Was a bit floppy on the descents. Troy has a dope one. Maybe Revelate?
