Such an amazing feat and adventure. Were you both single speed?

Impressive to yoyo that trail! and I really appreciate the informative and engaging style of your videos. it's refreshing to watch without the annoying techno copyright-free music that pollutes so many bikepacking videos. Great job!

Music, especially with vocals absolutely ruins bike packing videos

Thanks for sharing. I’m trying to plan a CT trip. Can you recommend a map that shows all the water and resupply areas?
@dispersed.bikepacking2 жыл бұрын
The Colorado trail databook shows all that in detail. I'd highly recommend it.

Hi: when I do overnights in the desert, I bring like 3/4 gallon of water . . . but by the time I get home the next morning, my water is gone! And I havent even been out for more than 15 hours. It is not even a 24 hour trip and my water is all gone! This desert sucks the water right out of one's water reserves.

I met you guys when I was coming up segment 14 from Mt Princeton (I think). You guys were coming down. It was my first time bike packing the CT and I was totally exhausted, and I thought you guys were crazy for doing a yo yo. I finished in 11 days, it was the hardest adventure of my life but I would do it again in a few years..if I’m in much better shape. Amazing job!!

Hey Micah, nice work finishing the trail! It doesn't get much tougher than the CT. I'm always surprised at how quickly I forget and start planning for next year 😉

Do you want to try Oregon Timber Trail?

For sure, it's on the list!

omg! bikepacking! it is the best! I have done it in the desert before. I just came back from an overnight trip. Overnight is just the right amount of time. You can give it all you got, sleep well, and give it all you got and get home to recover, right! So, overnight trips are good. Those are what I do : )

I am also looking to complete this trail while bike backpacking. Teaming up with someone would be a good idea.

I am doing it solo end of August. Shooting for 9-10 days. Let fear be your compass. See you out there hopefully. E

Curious how you felt your Beacon and dyno combination worked on the CT? Were you able to find enough pace to keep things charged? I noticed quite a bit of flickering on the night scenes, it's why I opted to not bring use mine, but I really missed its versatility.
@dispersed.bikepacking4 жыл бұрын
Definitely flickery while climbing, but I like having the extra light while descending at night. It'll charge stuff on the detours at least. Fenix pd35 on the helmet made up for the low light while climbing and hiking.
