This was really well filmed and edited well done, thanks for sharing it with us sir. I am thinking of walking it in April with a couple of cheeky wildcamps here and there.

Thanks for you comments.. Hope it gave you a good overview of the route.. I have hiked/ran sections in addition to the weekend trip I did and it is an epic route.. Lots of good locations for wild camping too (especially the section between Helensborough and Balloch)

I saw you when I was walking between Boness and Linlithgow on Friars Brae what a small world.The stretch between Boness right along to South Queesferry use it all the time feel pretty lucky to have such a wonderful bit to cycle on hassle free it’s actually changed my life got my love of cycling back again.Anyway keep up the great videos and look forward to more adventures!

Thanks for commenting on my video. I do remember passing a few people that morning :) And yes, I agree that the section along the coast at Boness is stunning. I have ran from there to Blackness many times but this is the first time I have cycled along the coastal path and I have never explored the section to South Queensferry before. Stunning section of the route and I was super lucky that day because whilst it was really cold the weather was really good.

Nice one 🙌 Wife and I bikepacked it from Helensburgh in the heat of last September on fully laden bikes after first of all riding west from Dunbar to Helensburgh on a totally different route. Like you, we finished back in Dunbar well after dark. Thanks for sharing, sparked some good memories. 👍🏻

Hi Pete. I was surprised at how good this route was. Your trip sounded epic. What route did you take from Dunbar to Helensburgh?

Excellent video. I really enjoyed that. I make similar videos, so I know the work that goes into producing them. That’s a really well edited wee film. We’re actually doing this route this weekend so thanks for giving me a good idea of what it’s like. Really looking forward to it now. 👏🏻👏🏻🎩

Hi Dave, really easy to navigate. It is a stunning route. Nothing really technical and takes in some amazing sights

Nice I wonder how many kilometers you added going back for the camera. 😉 Cheers.

To be fair, quickly setting up the GoPro is no major overhead but the drone is a faff and sometimes stopping to film does break up the flow of the cycle. However I have had great fun filming this stuff over the past year

Hey. Great video. And it's a good reccy for my challenge to do it in 24hrs. I will be using a mountain bike, and was wondering if you had any advice on tyre choice?
@go_explore Жыл бұрын
Hey... Thanks for watching my video. The route is not technical with decent surface all the way. Gravel tyres worked well. Doing the entire route in 24 hours will be an amazing adventure. Enjoy 😊

I set out at 5 in the morning in 2010 to pedal from outside Glasgow, to get to Rosyth, for a ferry to Zebrugge, I used the canal towpath for much of the way. I had paid little attention to the documents which actually said "Edinburgh, Rosyth", in my mind I had related Edinburgh, with Leith docks, so I ended up at Leith with a couple of hours to make it to Rosyth. What a panic but I made it.

That canal path is great to cycle on but it does go on forever.. Great effort to make your ferry.. I think that route closed down around about the time you sailed but is reopening again next year
