BIKEPACKING the WHOLE Tour de France Femmes route!!!!

To celebrate the inaugural Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift race that starts in Paris on 24th July, my friend Nicky and I decided to bikepack the lot -- including the transfers. 1500km across France. What an adventure!

Congrats on finishing your adventure! and your words couldn't ring more true for me. I recently finished a much shorter 640km ride over a few days, but it's tough finding people who want to do these type of rides. I rode it myself, and was able to check the adventure off my list! So I 100% agree, to anyone who wants to do a big adventure ride, just pack up and go do it! you won't regret it!

Wow what an amazing trip! I really want to go to France.........as a new cyclist I have embraced the whole doing things alone. I did my first ever solo wild camp this year and I loved the freedom of not having to think about others and worry about how they are feeling/ coping. That sounds selfish but as a wife and mother I'm always having to think about others so having just a little time to concentrate on me has been so liberating. Keep making inspiring videos Katie 🙂

Thanks. Just what I needed; a kick up the arse. I over stretched my self this weekend cycling with lots of camping gear around West Yorkshire and the Yorkshire Dales. Returned home totally demoralised. I was going to sack off my next year tour thinking there's no way I could do it alone, I'm never going to be fit enough, I'm not up to it psychologically etc, etc. Anyhow, just watched your video, I'm going to do it. Just going to shorten the stages and lower my gearing. I frayed my knees out grinding between Huddersfield and Long Preston; the hills too steep and too long for a bike that weighed in, fully loaded, at 70lbs and made the stupid mistake of returning the same way because the traffics lighter. Just have to accept that I simply cannot rush and I've just to take my time. It's not a race. Thank you so very much.

Heading into Wales I reckon for a 5 day tour round. Mix of (wild) camping and maybe posh up in a hotel one night. Great to see you out there loving the joy of biking.

Not sure how I missed this video until now. I can see Super Planches des Belles Filles from my house across the Rhine in Germany. Unfortunately I left for the US the day the men arrived and got back the day after the women finished there! But I'm very stoked that the men's tour is ending at Grand Ballon this year. Everything here is steep and nothing is flat.

I am impressed with your achievements. It is like riding in the breakaway all the time, no team around you to help. I just did my first 100Km ride, for me a lifetime record at the age of 70. Love the chanel, always an eye on the scenery. Good luck.
