These outrageous speedsters already know the risks, any attention will only encourage them. In their minds they are road warriors. When cops catch one, the need to take them to the hospital to meet freshly crashed motorcycle riders like themselves- it might wake a few of them up. Or require them to meet the families of those bikers that did not make it and hear their stories. In the end, they are too cool, rebels and living the life of danger- the ads will only stress out their families and friends. Not much different than anti-smoking ads, if you think about it.

@@JS-ch1hk those wo blame the truck driver or just anything except the motorcycle rider itself are just kids. We know the risk and how dangerous it is but we simply don’t care. It’s a passion to ride a bike wich you don’t want to trade in just because it is dangerous. Call us egoistic but you should experience that feeling at least once in your life. But everyone decides by themselves how much they want to increase the probability to fit in the statistic and those and only them are at fault for incidents like that one in the video.

I currently have a couple of 5jj R1's and I can feel everything, the feedback the bike gives is almost life saving. I've ridden some of these newer machines and they feel numb, they don't teach you how to ride properly. I started out with a 1989 FZR exup. These new bikes are way too forgiving and don't give you any wobble's for the wrong inputs and is really difficult to find the limits of the bike. So you learn nothing and end up finding out your mistakes at too higher speed. No room for error.

Unfortunately, someone found him before he fully succeeded and he was rushed to hospital, but he had already suffered catastrophic brain damage. He was like a six-foot toddler, couldn't communicate, tried to eat books and anything else he was holding, and would need round-the-clock care for the rest of his life. Around my village there are some very twisty rural roads. During the summer, evenings and weekends, they're a magnet for bikers from the surrounding towns. Often in packs of 10-25. They're a plague and a damned nuisance and there's at least one a year who broadsides a car coming out of a hidden junction at the top of my road.

@@bradb4740 i think "overestimation" of his own driving skills is kind of an understatement considering his speed and how much traffic he was going through. Also you can't blame that truck driver at all even for unintentional unawareness, he was already merging when the biker changed lanes and speed up into the truck. Just have a look at how close the biker was overtaking the car in front of him before the crash, the truck driver couldn't see anything else but an empty lane. This crash is 100% the bikers fault.

Thirty years ago my brother did the same thing, only he collected a telegraph pole four meters up after flying through the air for about twenty meters. He died twice in the ambulance but was revived both times. He then spent the next seven months in coma. Out mother sat beside his bed for most of that time, just talking to him. The doctors told her there was very little chance of him ever waking up, but eventually he did. She never gave up hope. The doctors said he would never walk again, again she didn't give up and some two years later he took his first assisted steps. Today, thirty years later, he still requires almost constant care and assistance. Mum past away a few years ago so he is now in the care of the state. I can't begin to tell you the impact his foolish, reckless choices have had on our family, he undoubtedly shortened our mother's life as well with all of the stress he put her through. I was involved in a similar situation when I was stationed in NY..rider was running away from the police, he was flying on the shoulder, when a few seconds later you see smoke up ahead. As we pulled up you see a minivan was hit on the driver side. A couple of yards down the road you see the mangled body of the rider on the metal median. A bunch of us tried our best but he was gone. You can literally see the shattered helmet, face just destroyed. Driver of the minivan was in shock as she just sat on the driver seat not saying anything. It was a horrible site to see.

@@Kraziken0 Been riding for 4 years, I’m 22. The only close calls I’ve had were from other drivers. The best advice I can give is to ALWAYS be alert of your surroundings. When coming up at an intersection, look at who’s coming up too, especially from the rear. That goes regardless of the colour. Do NOT just drive through green lights. Other advice is positioning. I learned the 1 2 3 road position and while I use it, I move a lot in urbain environment to have the best line of sight and make myself seen. Basically, ride like a ghost and assume everyone’s texting and there’s always gonna be someone running that red light. Know what’s behind you at all time.

@@togglebutton3312 I'd argue not bc on a bike there's a lot of risk of other people taking your life even when you're doing everything right. You have much more control over a hamdgun

Had to take care of my son bike accident. Brain injury. Could not work for 3 months. Imagine taking care of a 75KG baby. It changes all the family's life.

@@whitegoodman7465 I thought he was at first, came home crippled physically and mentally. Doctor said it could take years to recover and even then could have permanent negative effects from his injuries. But thankfully it took only months for him to recover back to what he was before the accident. Well except from a few nasty scars, that won't go away. Oh one thing tho, his ball dribbling skill is gone.

I’m not a rider, I’m a trucker, spend a lot of time on the road... in general I would say bikers are fairly good as road users, aware, safe, controlled, they gotta be good otherwise they end up like this guy. He’s a perfect example of how not to use a bike and why.
