This is the best coverage I’ve seen of the DR. I’m actually surprised how little it actually gets talked about on all of the cycling KZbin channels. Well done guys! I did the 65km which was tough enough for me.

It was good to see you all mention how technical and steep it was before you’d got to the 65km mark :-) This Dirty Reiver (65km version) was my first cycling event - as all my training was within Lincolnshire, UK 🇬🇧 I had never seen a hill that was 800 feet high or 6km long so so was very pleased to get over the 1500 feet high point and then the fast downhill to finish. Well done to you all at bikeradar for capturing the day really well and for hanging in there for the full 200 too 👍

This reminds me of how MTB races were like in the early days of amateur racing. I think I passed through that place once. It's a bit surprising that there's no phone signal around there I suppose you'd want a sat phone or an emergency beacon if you soloed around there.

Good question. Felix was a mere 14 minutes behind Jack, so actually it was fairly close! We all did lot of stopping to film and adjust things on the fly so while it was close, Jack did have longer stops.

@@bikeradar Thanks for the answer! I bet he had several stops for rewrapping his bar tape :D I just found it funny, 'cause working in a shop as a mech, I frequently see people buy tape and be like: "i can do that myself!"... then come back and have us do it after they realised they couldn't ;)
