I still love "man cave Tuesday" no matter how much you ramble. Sometimes the rambling is the good part. Camp cooking... Someday Thanks Mark Texas on the prairie

Hi, Mark. Just been watching your tyre changing process, you have it all sorted. One thing i notice is you don't run rims locks. Why is that. Rim locks allow the tyre to run at lower pressures without tyre slippage. I know they are a pain to work with when doing a tyre change but when you need to drop pressure you can without ripping out the valve. When you did that flat tyre test this is when you may have torn the valve stem from the tyre. You have a very heavy bike which just make the tyre want to spin even more. Something to consider in puncture protection. I had a shop put on a D606 on a new rear wheel i bought, Not knowing the rear had no rim lock, I didn't check. Went out on a big ride and it was wet and slippery. Thats o.k, I'll let some air out... Hmmm that was not a smart move, on the way back home on a very fast piece of track i started to nail it.. Then with any warning the rear wet flat. Still 85klms from home and on my own. i decided to ride the whole way on flat. That was the scariest ride of my life.. Just my thoughts...

Great video Mark! I have the Pirelli tires on my DR, they are ok. But you just run your Dunlop's, and don't worry about a review there are plenty of reviews on KZbin about them. Keep up the great work.

You need to give me notice that it was Australian day, so I could put in for it and have it off, or get paid time and a half for that day!

That is pretty cool with the slime Mark. Worth carrying for sure 👌 That big duffel bag looks like a body bag😂 Should have strapped it onto Max for the thumbnail 😂 I have started using drive mode dashboard after your recommendations, so far so good. Just using it for sat nav and tracking cant beat it for the price.

Question re DMD2. When it updated to the new version. Have you still got Lifetime maps or did it go to subscription? Any chance of a video of the new version when you have had a chance to use the features. Thanks

Yeah for years the Stevenson’s falls and Dandos campgrounds get full on Australia Day and other long weekends, last time I camped at Stevenson’s some guy had a projector and was watching movies in a big screen, really ruined the camping experience 🤨

I am an American so please pardon my ignorance about Australia. Can you remote camp in the forest on your own or do you have to be in a campground in Australia? In the U.S. we can remote camp out in the forest the deserts and a lot of other open public areas.

That jack that you used your rattle gun on to jack up the bike. Don’t do it I did and all the bearing balls jumped out and now it’s really hard to wind even with the big rattle gun or breaker bar. So I had to buy another one. Then again I am lifting a heavy Harley not a light dr 650.

Tyres aren't tyres.. there are good ones and bad ones. My most used tyre sets are Dunlop D952. Used in the enduro world for years. Whilst not as good on the road as the D606,s the D952 is a great all round dirt tyre offering great grip and ware. Very strong side wall and rim protection. Also cost per set at $ 230 you can't get better value.
