What a cracking bike. Great video you two. If they fix the fuelling, it’s a near perfect bike. Had a tonne of fun getting it a tiny bit sideways around corners. It’s a naughty bike.

Hey Jamie, I can understand the concern with longevity, but they have been making a 500 version of this bike for a while without any major issues. Quality wise it’s fine, it’s no BMW or Ducati but certainly on par with other similar offerings.

The Benny Cappuccino 800 Trail is a Retro Scrambler Kind of deal (60 Road/40% light off-road) , so Ducati Scrambler kind of thing, The Enfield is kind of an foot in a few different camps, but I feel the Enfield is more (50 Road/50% Light to medium) its also built to take more hits (dropping) the CF Moto 450MT (50 Road/50 Adventure Touring) The general rule for anything off road is weight. This is why the general engine size is 300-450 & your ability to pick up the bike, or change a tyre. I really like the Benny Cap 800 trail, but I am also riding a Harley Iron 800 2017 (V&H Exhaust) I understand the issue with the cool exhaust can be rectified by replacing the hidden pipes and cat, leaving the stock slip on section. I feel this would make an amazing touring and light traveller.

Comparison with the himmy would be interesting to see! I used to have a Himalayan and ended up selling for a Benelli TRK502x. Unfortunately there were just too many little niggly issues with mine, and using it as a daily was becoming difficult so it had to go. in Addition, my friend also had/has a Himalayan that recently decided to blow it's piston rings, taking most of the head components with it at a little over 10,000km. I do still miss the 21 inch front, or that deep Enfield thump sound from time to time. At about 7000km on the Benelli now, with zero problems to report. If it keeps that up then I may consider another Benelli heavily when looking for another bike to add to the stable.

Thanks for your comprehensive insight. I’d love to try the Trk502 one day as I’m not really familiar with all of the Benelli models. We have just actually filmed a comparison of sorts, should be up on the channel in a month or so

I had 2 MX bikes with Marzocchi 50mm forks and they were forking great. After break-in tune them to your liking by changing fork oil viscosity. Please use a premium brand oil. This is a great way to improve your bike.

Thanks for posting, I'm really enjoying the interaction between you two presenters. As a 50 something man, it's nice to have some input from a younger persons perspective on these bikes too. Keep 'em coming! Oh, BTW see if you can get a ride on an Aprilia 660 Tuareg to add to your comparison of off road motorcycles. I think you will be shocked! (I have one and will most likely never sell it!)

@@BikerTorque BE VERY SURE you get a Tuareg 660 that has had the ECU remap post September 2022. The difference in the light throttle openings as slow speeds and constant lower speed cruising (Light throttle openings again.) is like night and day! 👍👍.

Why is this bike not available in my country?? I'm a new rider starting on a used Leoncino 500. I don't think they even brought the trail version. Nonetheless, very happy with the bike. Maybe I would not have gone with 800cc to start but I wish I wasn't denied the option to upgrade later!

Looking forward to doing those dirt roads to St Albans. Don’t think it would be a fair comparison up against the GS. But a great shoot out would be with the Himalayan scram 411, Fantic Caballero and CFMOTO 700 ClX Adventure.

I have seen this bike at my local dealership, I would like to know what sort of luggage carrying capacity it has? The tail seems short and lacks pillion passenger handles, which can double as strapping points for an overnight duffel. The previous lioncino 500 did this well I feel. Has anyone tried to carry luggage on this new lioncino 800?

Nice review guys. Great to see a local bike review based in Western Sydney on roads familiar to me. I really like the Leoncino trail, but I am very much looking forward to riding the Benelli TRK 702 and 702X. I think as much as the Leoncino trail looks good on the dirt the TRK 702X looks better and has all the tech you need for adventure riding. Would love to see you guys review those upcoming bikes.

Why would you compare that to a gs??? Why wouldn't you put the benelli 502x up against something like the gs800, least they are both the same style.
@BikerTorque

I don’t think we were comparing it, clearly the GS is a more premium bike, simply saying for those who doing some light off-roading is it enough bike, which I think it is considering most GS don’t make it off road. Thanks for watching

Beneli was acquired by China's QJ very early on, and the bike is made in China from beginning to end, even every screw, and it has only a small remaining brand story to do with Italy.
