I’ve got this bike since September 2019. And make me absolutely 😃 happy. 105 group set , like everybody knows it’s amazing and works perfectly on this bike I upgraded the sistensix stem and handlebar and looks really great. And I can adapt how long I need the stem and which angle it’s perfect for me and how wide I need or I prefer my handlebar for a perfect fit. No problem with the D shape seat post and very satisfied with the bike it’s a great bike with a nice handling and a “ classic” shape. Personally I like this minimal logo and no strident paint job

Big fan of the minimalist Canondale logo. That's how it should be. Imagine if your car had the brand name in big letters along the side🤪

I've had a 2020 Force AXS version of this bike since last July. What they don't tell you is Cannondale made a design error with the rear dropouts last year, and when in the 10cog there is less than half a mm clearance and your chain ends up rubbing off the stay. Interestingly fixed on the 2021 models where you can only get Sram now in Red Axs. Of course Cannondale refuse to even discuss warranty. Another thing is the much discussed Systembars and knot stem on the more high spec models weigh over half a KG, don't do a great job of hiding cables and the brake hoses rub and make a racket when you turn the bars. Even installing foam doesn't help. A disgrace. And the d-shaped seatpost retention solution absolutely sucks. It's a case of a wedge that is attached to a nut base inside the seat tube that is held on with double sided 3m adhesive. Eventually it lets go and it's the only thing keeping the seatpost up. Your Cannondale dealer has to order a new wedge kit which never works properly (assuming they can get the adhesive to do it's job even) and you end up torqueing the post beyond spec. A disaster. I'm on my third wedge kit in 6 months. And if you have an aluminium post be prepared to put up with creaking forever. The bike is nice to ride but I regret not going for a Scott Addict or Foil or maybe a BMC Time Machine which are better thought out and I will probably look at one of those framesets soon. No way this bike deserve bike of the year with so many issues.

I have the 105 disc version. No problem with aluminium seatpost, no problem with cables, no problem with Shimano 105. After 10.000 km I'm happy.
@flaccus1233 жыл бұрын
@@Maiktallica666 You have no problem with cables because all your cables are exposed near the cockpit area as the 105 comes with standard bars and stem. I was referring to the issues with the Systembars and Knot stem which try to integrate the brake hoses and they only end up rubbing off each inside the headtube when turning the bars. It doesn't cause any damage, it's just an annoying clicking noise but again I don't turn the bars that far for it to be an issue on a ride. But at the same time BMC and Scott have got their act together with seamless cable integration. Cannondale's effort is a bodge. And for being aero as Cannondale claim they are extremely heavy bar and stem combo. These come on Ultegra di2 level and above. The issue with the aluminium seatpost creaking is well documented so I guess they have addressed that but I hope the wedge doesn't play up on you which it can if you ever need to remove the post to put a fresh layer of anti-seize on it as Cannondale recommend. When tightening back up to the 6Nm what can happen is the nutbase which is stuck to the seat tube between the wedge and the grub screw, can rotate, thanks to the crap 3m adhesive tape and back to the LBS it goes. It's a poorly thought out design and Cannondale should have put something structural in the seattube to facilitate tightening the seatpost. Other manufacturers have. I'm glad your happy with your bike. The fact Cannondale didn't even test sram axs properly on last years frames is what has put me off Cannondale forever. Imagine selling a bike with a groupset when in the hardest gear your chain can rub off the dropout and wears away the paint and then refuse to address it. The Cannondale logo by the way on the top of the headtube (near the seatpost) is just a sticker and not even under any lacquer but some frames do have it under the lacquer. It's totally random.

Cannondale’s warranty is disgraceful. I have had a rear dropout issue on my 2015 SuperSix evo himod that means the rear wheel rubs on the left chainstay. LBS documented it and sent to Oz reps. After a year of back and forth arguing about mm of clearance in photos and blaming skewers, I just got a “ not warranty issue”. When asked Oz and USA head office, no reply. This was a known issue with this model, evidenced by google searches. I also spoke to a couple guys here in Oz by chance on group rides that mentioned other frame issues and same lack of warranty support. Nice bikes, but good luck to you if you get a lemon. Would be keen to hear someone from Cannondale reply to these posts..

30mm spindle so what makes can you replace it with when the chainrings wear out?

1 reason I went for disc brake model. I can use expensive high end carbon wheels for everything, and it wont wear off the brake wall of the rim, and I wont need different wheelsets for training and for racing.

why don’t they use 105 chain and crankset? these cannondale stuff looks not good and its heavier. wtf
@flaccus1233 жыл бұрын
The Cannondale Hollowgram Cranksets which are featured on some Supersix models are lighter than the Shimano variant.
@mrtnknrr3 жыл бұрын
The Cannondale One crankset is the follow up for their SI crankset: it is their cheapest crankset, but at +-600g it is both lighter and stiffer than a Dura Ace crankset (if you don't believe me, Google it). And their higher end cranksets (previously known as the SiSL) was nearly another 200g lighter and even stiffer than this one. Neither Shimano, Sram and Campagnolo make cranksets as light and stiff as Cannondale. So the crankset is actually a huge upgrade.
@mrtnknrr3 жыл бұрын
I know they said it's heavier in the video but that is actually false information. Look it up if you don't believe me.
