Bikies & Drug Deals: The Underworld's Dangerous Connection - Joe Kwon | I Catch Killers Joe Kwon was jailed for running a drug syndicate. Years earlier, he’d dabbled in petty crime, became a foot soldier in an Asian crime gang while still at school and was later held for ransom by the bikies. At his peak, Joe was living the high life; splashing thousands of dollars in cash just because he could do. That was until the morning undercover cops infiltrated his syndicate and everything came crashing down. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ I Catch Killers with Gary Jubelin True Crime Listen on Apple Podcasts ► Connect With True Crime Australia Online: bit.ly/46xCXDb ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ► Subscribe To Our True Crime Australia KZbin Channel: bit.ly/3iU23Fm ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ► Follow Us on Facebook: facebook.com/TrueCrimeAustralia ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ 00:00 - Introduction - Joe Kwon 03:04 - Criminal role models 04:56 - Walking into the criminal world 07:15 - Stealing explicit magazines and fireworks 08:17 - Asian crime gang initiations 12:29 - Making a living off crime 16:40 - Pockets filled with pills 17:43 - Held for ransom 20:52 - Being left for dead 23:48 - Earning too much cash to handle 25:51 - A breakfast arrest 28:12 - Letting down his mum 31:26 - Police cell before prison 34:14 - Walking into prison for the first time 37:51 - The cellmate who changed his life #truecrime #truecrimeaustralia #crime #crimestory #crimejunkie

Absolutely awesome video - I love the juxtaposition of a career police officer sitting down with reformed long-time criminals and having a human conversation where they can be (mostly) frank and honest without the over-hanging hammer of the law. Keep making these dope videos guys!

I'm an old prospector from golden triangle Victoria, but Gazza, your the real deal , you are gold mate, in my heart I wonder if these reformed fella's and bikies were allowed legally and respectively on our streets today , to help clean up crime , youth crime , knife crime , domestic violence, I believe our country would benefit, with all due respect, I think they could do a better job than our police and government, rock on gaz

Great guest, really inspirational for the disadvantaged youth who think they have no way out. The ability to problem solve is crucial to all aspects of life, education formal or non formal is very important to improving one's self worth. So glad and supportive to hear this message is being spread.

Fkn oath Joe Kwon!! A.k.a the teddy bear syndicate King pin. Nice to see one of the boys whose has done a big stretch, got through it, fully rehabilitated and turned his life around positively. I am so glad to hear you’re doing very well mate. Man does anyone realise how difficult it is to get into uni whilst ur being incarcerated? Well done Joe, my man. Btw, just in case u might be wondering who this is. Let’s put it this way, bro I’m just a regular guy that’s happened to be one of you’re coey. It’s sux that we all copped a big whacked for all of our offences. Oh well it’s all done & dusted now. You’re a very good example to all the crims out there, especially the younggins. Thats anybody are still capable of turning their life back on track once they made a bad choice ….. 🐯

I've got to agree 100% with the bit about most inmates not finishing highschool. I left at the age of 15. Was in Grafton jail by the age of 24 then spent the next 30 years on the nod living a life of crime. About 5 years ago I got a real job at age 55. Life's never been better since, and no way am I ever going back to drugs or jail. I'm too old now. Wish I'd finished high school, I would have led a completely different life.

How you can get away with making money doing this is beyond belief, you are a crooked cop, and this should be regarded as proceeds of crime.
