Wow...your shots of the island were fantastic. This is probably the best vid of Pulau Ubin that I have come across. I'm actually seeing places that I had not seen in other P. Rubin vlogs.

@@SimonSaysCanadawow my dream bike would be a pivot mach 5.5.With fox live valve and all that cool stuff. In Singapore because of gst and rental price for the bike shops in SG selling high end bikes they have no choice but to make very expensive bikes such as a projectone custom mtb cost around 20000 sgd!(yep ik at this point u would be shell shocked) I'm planning to move to canada sometime in the future when I start making money cuz it's not easy to find high paying jobs in sg.In fact there can be up to 20 people competing for one position(eg.lawyers).Why canada, well it is cuz it has a lower crime rate than the usa and has almost everything that America has.So why not.Btw if its within ur means pls try to film a vlog of u riding some mtb trails in sg.They have some nice rental bikes from big box brands like evil and yeti at the shops near the trails.U can just Google UNSPRUNG OR REEVOLUTION to see wat they have.It would make this channel more exciting and fun to watch.but for now keep up the good work!!👍👍

Yeah i actually went to stay at that place you found in March 2012. It was called Celestial resort @ Ubin and it was on those groupon type sites at $30 for 1 night including kayaking in the lagoon there, welcome drink, breakfast, fish spa, bike rental...rooms were a kind of old even back then...not that many people stayed which i guess is why they kept promoting those deals...eventually closed and opened as ubin living lab. Ubin is great...wouldn't go for swimming, more for rustic nature...swimming is best at lazarus island...i think you can camp on st johns island. Anyway another great video :)

@@SimonSaysCanada If you do get back there, do check out this place called Chek Jawa Wetlands, its a mangrove swamp where you can see lots of wildlife when the tide is low. However as mentioned, ONLY when the tide is low, so do check the timings for low tide before heading or else everything you are supposed to see would be submerged. Another place where you can see some forms of natural wildlife in Singapore (other than the zoo) is Sungei Buloh Wetlands. It is also quite family-friendly and surrounding the wetlands are farms like Hay Dairies Goat Farm or Bollywood Veggies. Puaka Hill = Cursed/ Haunted Hill. Did ‘Outward Bound School’ in Ubin as a corporate orientation (2001) and had to camp overnight at the quarry. Instructor told us people had drowned there and he told ghost stories about the place too. In Malay, we call such places ‘keras’(hard/ harsh) if you get the drift. That night, unlike my usual sleep paralysis, I ‘saw’ a black figure me pressing me down. The next morning, a colleague claimed he was a black figure too but he didn’t want to alarm the rest of us. Love your videos.
