I think your skort should be cute #1 on your cuteness scale...lol Alex your pastry hunt always makes me hungry Yes Liz, in answer to your question at the end, my legs always have chain grease on them and cuts and scrapes everywhere when on a bike tour.😂🤣
@PursuingMountains11 ай бұрын
Aww thank you! ☺️ glad you enjoyed Alex’s love for pastries! Regarding the scrapes, I have no idea most the time when I get them! They just appear there 😆 do you notice when they get scratched up?

heya guys, just happened across your bike trip and love it so far. Decided to watch the whole thing from the start! 😊 I was wondering what kind of camera you use in the towns to get such nice footage with the blurred background when close in on objects?
@PursuingMountains3 ай бұрын
Hi, thanks for watching! The nice camera we have is the Cannon EOS R5, and most of the time I use the RF 15-35 f/2.8 lens but sometimes I would use the the 24-100 f/4. It’s a lot of extra weight to bring such a big camera with lenses, but it’s worth it.
@Merlin-fl7vy3 ай бұрын
@PursuingMountains ah thanks for such a detailed reply 🙂 I was thinking the depth of field looked like a proper camera lens but then I thought no way you would carry one with the massive weight. It is definitely worth it, when you are doing close ups in the little villages it looks great. Take care

I’m glad you thought it made a difference. I definitely wonder sometimes on these long tours. Between the tripods, GoPros, batteries, camera, lenses and drone, I sometimes wonder whether I’m carrying too much 😆

I just bumped into your channel. Hail KZbin! I’ve been watching other bike touring videos and KZbin showed me this episode 8 today. I’m in my late 50s and am planning a Europe bicycle tour next year. Now I’ll have to go back and watch the other 7, before your video 9 in the series is released. Also, have you read the book, FAR SWEETER THAN HONEY - WILLIAM SPENCER. He cycled from England to India in the 70s, alone, and with almost nothing with him. Please read it. He’s from England and still lives there. Must be in his 80s now. I have subscribed to you from here and my other account, The_Solo_Hiker.

Heck, yeah, was a national educator for Husqvarna sewing machines and the largest US dealer had one of the robot mower test models on his property in Dayton OH back in the mid-90s - if you’ve got the right yard, these things are awesome! So excited to see Germany!! ❤ PS Your black skirt-skort is so *cute* and looks comfy! Can you share the brand or a link?
@PursuingMountains11 ай бұрын
That is awesome! I LOVE the skort, it has built in chamois and even a pocket that's so handy. It's on the pricey side but was probably my favorite purchase for the trip! Here is the link: amzn.to/3RdOfFX

@@PursuingMountains Thanks for that! And I’m guessing we’re the same - never mind spending on quality gear up front when it’s the right thing and lasts forever!

hi, is it 30.40 euros per person? if so I would definitely wildcamp. my wallet has a comfort of 15 and an extreme of 20. I love toxic by britney spears, you can't listen to joy division or pere ubu all the time.
@PursuingMountains11 ай бұрын
It was total. We just got used to $10-15 total for campsites throughout France and Germany so it felt like a big jump at the time! I like toxic too! I need music variety. Alex only listens to rock or metal when working out 😅

maybe your back was hurting because of your posture on the bike? also relax your arms so your wrists dont hurt as much you were saying in the previous episodes how much your wrists were hurting
@PursuingMountains11 ай бұрын
That could be. We did end up getting it figured out after a lot of adjustments to the seat.

Those automatic lawn mowers are a ecological desaster as they will mow any small animals that will come in it's way like hedgehogs, etc...
