The best solution for my small boat was to fit an auto pump in a box to drain the cockpit. I need a few more bits to make it perfect but now the cockpit will drain well.

Good demo. For a more realistic test, try attaching a hose to the exhaust end and lifting the water three feet. You will be surprised at how much pumping volume is lost pushing water uphill.

Good job. Have you looped the outlet as high as you can on the transom to stop sea wster backfilling the sump box? Essentially like a exhaust swan neck.

20 amp fuse maybe. Would recommend you use an online calculator to enter the wire run distance and accepted voltage drop.

You should run a fuse with a pump for safety.

Found it on amazon. It’s called a shower sump box! Works really well to this day with no issues.
