Hi there. Great video - thank you. Out of interest can you recommend where we can dry dock a trailer cruiser dinghy. Like a NorseBoat 17, or a Drascombe 19 ft. Basically interested in keeping a boat on a trailer there (under cover). Just can't afford anything crazy and interested to see if that sort of thing exists there. Would be then keen to connect to the car and slip the boat for weekend use in Chichester Harbour. Please let me know! Thank you !

Alex - what weight of CSM are you using? It looks to wet-out pretty well. I'm building cradles for my sports boat and want to incorporate some interesting features. Your video was most helpful, particularly screwing the batten to the ply to assist with clamping. Thanks heaps. I could make the video showing all the mistakes that I made, that you did'nt!

@@justindaley2460 I used a 300/600 combination matt. Worked great. Gets to a good thickness faster. I used east coast fibreglass and they usually have something on clearance for a good deal if you’re uk based. Glad I could help and good luck with the project!!

@@markush.8942 thank you! I did a test sail on the 23 and didn’t seem as stable as the 21 in heavy upwind conditions. Seems like the very pointed bow doesn’t work as well on the 23. Have you experienced this as I found it quite interesting?

Hello, I have a problem selecting neutral. In neutral, my propeller must be free? If I adjust it so that my selector neutral is set with a free propeller, I can no longer shift into reverse. Thanks for your advice.

@@thibs25130 I would adjust it so that all gears can be selected properly. Neutral will have some resistance if you’re turning it by hand.

With just the bow anchor out, what stops you just getting washed further up the beach when the tide comes in?

@@RogerHolden normally not a problem unless the wind direction has changed. Most of the time just being aware of the upcoming conditions is enough to mitigate getting dragged up the beach. Typically just moving the anchor by hand is enough but most of the time I don’t have to do anything.

Next time you come up…sure you will. Don’t miss Loch Tarbert on Jura. It is a magical place, especially if you get into the inner loch. Some tricky navigation….my iPhone ran out of juice on the last turn…phew.

Another great trip started. I use that slipway at Mylor too, it can get mega busy and the turn out to park in the valley can be tight with people parking by the wall

I do worry about your trailer wheel bearings & brakes! This from bitter experience. I do enjoy your videos though, especially now I've swallowed the anchor. 👍

@@richardwhitehead7006 brakes are the thing for me. Sometimes stick on no matter how much you wash them after launch. Bearings are fine and get redone once a year and with proper marine grease. Thanks for watching!

Absolutely amazing Alex. Well done because that trip was not as easy as you two made it look. I sailed my Mk1 down from Pembroke docks to Newquay Cornwall in 2007 with a couple of friends and was entertained by dolphins too. Sold now, but still got the mast and a couple of booms for it as the new owner didn't want to sail and is using it as a swimming platform🙂 I think only 3 were made like yours btw.... I looked at one for sale in Falmouth about 15 years ago. Cheers and all the best in future adventures.
