While Bill only knew how to survive, Frank taught him how to live. This chapter taught me that humanity does not come just to survive, but to love and be loved. 🕊💞

Besides a beautiful relationship, this episode is also telling us much about a way to remain human under the most adverse of circumstances. Initially, it took a capable man like Bill to save this little patch of civilisation, albeit rather by accident than by design. But it was the determination of Frank that turned both of them into custodians of the little world that the murdered ones left behind. Even though it is not spelled out explicitly during the episode, it feels to me that the small acts of appreciation that Frank and Bill came to bestow upon their physical memories also served to restore the very dignity that their own government denied them when it chose to dispose of them back in 2003. As a result, the whole neighbourhood becomes a shrine which preserves the last remnants of the same civilization that we only spot in a state of total ruin elsewhere. Therefore, it feels twice as heartbreaking to know that Bill and Frank have gone for good and that the place is doomed to fade like the rest of the world.

This is masterful. Your video summary echoes the UP montage even more strongly than the episode itself did. I loved how the episode let Bill and Frank breathe and live. It was so intimate. A perfect presentation of love.

The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time.

love this episode. I just watched it and it made me feel so sad and jealous at the same time. The story was very well written and acted. I never had a love like this. How nice it must be to feel that a person loves you and chooses you every day, you are his priority for so many years and in the end he tells you I am satisfied, you were my purpose. He didn't need anything else, he was happy just having had him in his life

This is how you portray a homosexual couple.... the same way you would a heterosexual one. We dont need lewd over the top making out, or flamboyant dancing and dressing in drag... (if thats your thing, whatever, do you) But normal.... because Most people in the world are Normal when it comes to most things, that includes love.

Me at the beginning of the episode: another ridiculous inclusive gay scene Me at the ending: bawling my eyes out because they lived their lives till the end with love no matter what… Probably the best episode in history of TV shows
