Argh see this is what i dont get about burr fans. This sentence... its just not... funny? Like it doesnt follow the framework of a joke. At all. Jokes are supposed to set your brain up with some form of implicit expectations. They then say something that breaks those expectations and begs you to read the whole thing again but now with a different understanding or perspective. Ultimately this results in what you want - laughter. Humans enjoy this. We call it humor. It is interesting and entertaining in a clever way. But Bill does not do this. Notice how Bill's "joke" just says "you ate your way in so you can walk back out" and doesnt set any expectations? AFAICT theres no new info to get after he brings up the last half. And I must be missing the joke of the century, though, because thousands of people here seem incredibly amused by the content.

weight loss has to do with the hormone insulin. You have to lower insulin long enough for your body to start going into fat burning mode.You accomplish that by intermittent fasting. My husband and me both lost 50 lbs each by using time restriction. We still ate what ever we wanted but just in a few hours window time frame. People need to get educated on what causes obesity.

He's just talking about judging people on appearance *at all,* which is absolutely fair to do. Or at least it was fair until recently. Anymore, you're not even allowed to say fat people are unhealthy. Doctors are getting in trouble for suggesting weight loss to patients. The type of "fat shaming" you describe almost never happens. Almost no one is *only* judging others by weight/appearance. There are people who do that, but they are a non-issue. The "fat shaming" Bill is arguing for is the kind I described. Again, in today's society, simply telling an overweight person "You are diminishing your health by being overweight, you should probably lose some if you care about your wellbeing" is considered "fat shaming" to many people, which is ludicrous

HAHAHAHA. I honestly completely agree with him (despite being fat). I think being fat shouldn't be glorified or praised but when youu have medical conditions (like me) with different symptoms including weight gain, then it is very insensitive to shame the patient. Like my dad is obese but it isn't because he's sick. It's because he's lazy and a couch potato. I would definitely try to convinve him to go back to normal.

Just avoid sugar and processed foods, and weight loss will happen after enough time (takes longer for women than men, but will still happen). I'm a guy and lost 40 pounds in three months doing that while still having good meals and not starving myself at all.

I'm sick of people promoting severe morbid obesity like it's something to be proud of. Having good self esteem is one thing, but weighing 400 pounds when you're under 6 feet tall is a bad thing no matter who you are. It will kill you slowly and miserably. I say this needing to lose weight myself, I know it's hard and I don't think you should make fun of people who struggle, but there's a difference between be nice and wow what a hero.
