i think Bill was just busting the producer's balls for pressing him about saying Bill wanted to be Conan's best friend which he probably did say light heartedly in private. and now with the producer saying it publicly to the audience, he makes it sound like a serious comment as if Bill was obsessed with Conan or trying to kiss his ass so Bill was deflecting that awkwardness with jokes. that's how i heard this. and i think the podcast itself with Conan went well. the only thing i didn't like was how i sensed a cold disapproving silence from Conan whenever Bill criticized METOO and feminists. might've been hesitant to respond to anything on that topic cause his assistant Sonya was right there. i don't know. still a fan of both those redheads though

We have to understand that Conan is still a TV personality. He's not just doing private standup tours like Bill Burr, and do not have the liberty like other comedians like Norm Macdonald, Dave Chapelle or Louis CK and say whatever they want. I am sure Conan thinks the same as many of this other celebraties about the metoo and other liberal movements, but he cannot express them as much as we hope he does because he risks his career with TBS and perhaps even on other shows. It's extremely obviously back during his time at NBC, when he was doing Late night and had more liberty than when he moved to the Tonight show.

It's a line Matt has used in improv sketches before, and it's basically just a "punchline" where it suddenly turns out that two seeming strangers having an absurd argument, actually live together. It's more obvious in the context of the Superego podcast, but there's essentially nothing to "get" :-)

I have a feeling this was edited. I distinctly remember Bill saying something more offensive to Matt like he was that "every white guy" and he's effin' "ugly" comment, but it isn't here. Joke or not, I kinda felt sorry for Matt, and I feel like, when you hear the full version, Bill goes way too far with what he was saying to Matt, which I personally didn't like. This podcast episode painted a different picture of Bill for me, like he was some sort of bully for no reason, like he would have sudden attacks or something. Anyways, I still do like Bill Burr, but it definitely lessened after hearing this for the first time. Listening to it now through this video, it doesn't seem to be quite bad but I feel like this has been edited since there was a lot more cursing when I first heard it on the podcast.
