It’s interesting to me that they confirmed the twins having a bad home life. Honestly, I always kinda figured they did. The ways they behave makes them seem like traumatized kids, and yeah, sending them live with their weird uncle for the summer does seem like it would be an excuse to get them out of the house. I kinda assumed they were just neglected, but their parents having relationship issues makes sense too

i dont think bill is waiting for one person to take his deal. with the way the 4th wall is broken in the book, the idea is that the book really did end up in our reality and spread by infectinf other books, even if it isnt the most believable arg concept. everyone who read the books concepts, or at least got their hands on it to read in person, shook Bill's hand, and he needed time to rewire our brains as we continued reading. and fortunately that was cut short and undone when the theraprism caught onto what he was doing and nullified it, making the book safe. if anything, the best chance bill has from this book is if he still finds some scrap of influence over the masses who read it, and ARGs can be made in the future off of that. that or the book really is a dead end for him, and he just comes up with something else i guess

Xolotl was the Aztec god of Lightning, Fire, and Death. Xolotl is the god that ferrys souls to one of the 9 layers of "Mictlan" (Underworld/hell/whatever) The god of death can return a creature from death to the living world. And considering Bill is as powerful as he is.... It stands to reason he's friends with a being as powerful as a god of death.
