I pieced together that he is in fact a child. And this is what makes him so damned deadly. It's hinted that as soon as he got his powers terrible things happened that he didn't want and that shattered his sanity. (Flatworld's end might have been an accident.) Like the original intent was to create a being that went around *helping people* and at some point Bill still may be able to do that. But not in his 'Son Wulong' phase he can't. Or won't. It's funny because of how relative things are. We see a narcissistic psychopath that wants to play with 'toys' until he gets bored with them but this could just be some cosmic figure stuck in their Terrible Two's which they will grow out of eventually.

Bill Cipher's 2D world reminds me of the 2D world encountered in the "Futurama" episode, "2-D Blacktop." 9:20 So, Bill Cipher was a middle class bullshuffler like, say, Fidel Castro, on a power trip? Ain't that original. Why doesn't Bill Cipher have a cadre of True Believers? We arrive at the There Can Only Be One with ultimate power idea. Bill is now at the top of the pecking order, he can manipulate/destroy any other multidimensional organism, like a "Star Trek" Q. But then, the city limits of Gravity Falls keeps the "Isosceles monster" in another kind of trap. So much for ultimate power, eh?

I thought that was heavily implied by the Axolotl’s poem. Excellent video, I will take this all into account for my grand theory discussing Bill’s whereabouts after the end of the show. Spoiler alert for book of bill! After saying theory number two is the weakest, it actually is really close to what bill himself said about his past. While most of the stuff he says is blurred out and he can be lying to us, he basically says that he was born with the gift to see into the third dimension and wanted to share it with all the others basically because he thought is was cool. However something went wrong (this is the part that is blurred out) and everyone but him ended up dying. So life sucking being the reason he did it actually sounds about right. But something I find funny (and why I don't think he is lying to us about this) is that we do get to see a small piece of text that says something like that his hands were shaking realizing what he did can't be undone. He feels sad about what he did, even though in the show he denies it. The reason why I don't think he's lying is because the axolotl also mentions how he says he's happy but he's a liar. Now because of that denial he causes as much chaos as he can, convincing himself he's happy about what he did. So to sum up the theory Bill is depressed because his life sucked and does bad things to get dopamine. So your theory is basically right. (Yes I genuinely just wrote an entire paragraph to say that.) I could kinda see number three eventually being kinda accurate as well when more information is released. So pretty good job, man!

in the flat land movie A. square's 4th dimensional ramblings are what cause the X and Y factions to go to war and ends up getting flatland destroyed but for one being A square falls 'through' flatland's membrane as its destroyed and ends up in the 0th dimension (seemingly inside one of the many "the ruler" of the 1th dimension) its possible that bill in A square's role could both blame himself for the destruction of the 2nd dimension (blames the Arson for the fire) and gain knowledge from passing from the 3rd to the 0th to start dimensionally clawing his way 'back up'

What if he was the square? Let me explain. In *The Flatland*, the square’s mind is completely blown after discovering infinity. *Infinite dimensions*. Something Bill is obsessed over in the show. I’m not finished. In *The Flatlands*, shapes are able to attend this “Configuration”, a process that develops underdeveloped shapes. It’s a risky process for shapes that have uneven sides, like an isosceles triangle. However, an equilateral triangle, a triangle with equal sides all around, have the potential to rise in the ranks. Therefore, the possibility of Bill developing into a Square, the shape that never questions existence, but instead always conforms to social norms. When Bill finally meets enlightenment after discovering the existence of *Infinite Dimension*, he obsesses, and in the chaos of the world around him, his world is euthanized by the 3rd dimension, forever making Bill responsible for the permanent collapse of his world. Either that, or our square is the less manic but manic nonetheless character we see in Gravity Falls that stands besides Bill in Weirmageddon.
