Bill won the battle, Discord won the war, but both are not gone forever. Didcord is the embodiment of Chaos and will eventually reform, and Bill will eventually escape the Nightmare realm. One of the popups clarified that unicorn hair itself isn't an actual weakness of Bill's, it's just an ingredient for a spell designed to protect against Bill and his powers. There are actual unicorns in Gravity Falls that they go to, and I doubt they were spared from Weirdmageddon. It's just the only one we call special attention to because there was an episode all about getting a hair from a unicorn.

Wanna know something funny when Discord was Writing that letter as he says "Dear Princess Celestia, Today Bill Cipher learned a valuable lesson in friendship" and Bill was disgusted and went "MY EYE" after discord did his bit that exchange was actually eluded to in one of the seprate analysis trailers being Discord in the comments section I found that really funny and hilarious

Yeah, y'see? Discord redeemed himself eventually but Bill remained evil right till the end and never gives two flying f's about anyone but himself but we still love him for it. He's just more angry at the fact he was tricked but other than he didn't care at all. In my opinion all Discord managed to do is buy Equestria some time but Bill will be back.@@AutisticGamerSean

@@owenshaw-s9x I've heard that Discord could technically regenerate his soul too, but too slowly to count in a Death Battle, so think of it as a "Ganondorf vs Dracula" sort of scenario. Assuming this is even true (I don't trust the general internet these days), then I can see Discord preparing Equestria for round 2. Food for thought

Ah yes, a prime example of an amazing (and in this case, HILARIOUS) episode being hated simply because people disagree with the results (if YourOnlyM8's comment section is to be believed), once again ignoring literally everything else. Yeah, I refuse to be a part of any fandoms anymore, and you all can blame the DB, RWBY, and Jurassic Park/World fandoms for it. mlp gen 4 is fucking awesome, i used to watch it with my ex-step sisters when they were little [back before their dad and my mother divorced], and one of my favorite fights is "tirek vs twilight" its a fight that would make goku envious of the ponies powers, and is one of the reasons why i say death battle did twilight dirty in "twilight vs raven". ponies aren't limited with their magic if they think it they can learn it, starlight was able to go back in time by perfecting one of twlights old spells.

No offence, but have you seen how busted Raven was in her fight with Jean Grey? Even assuming they undersold Twilight back then, it still wouldn't make enough of a difference to change the outcome. Not to mention, there's FAR more to every episode than the actual results, which is my biggest gripe with the internet as far as DB is concerned.
