@satorres82 Bill Dickens plays his signature Conklin ERB7 seven string bass. It is not a hybrid thing. Every bass guitar player is aware of that, as Bill has been on the scene for about 40 years. His seminal bass work is basic to contemporary bass players.

oh man..that has got to be a joke right.man i guess if you were a bass player only 4 strings is your only comfort zone if you were to pick up a 5 6 or 7 you would panic.lets put it this way.5 a 6 string basses are for people who's not afraid to step out the box as being a bass player with 4 strings where it started and take it to another level.and its funny that people bash bass players with 6 or more strings but if its a 8 string guitar it wouldn't not be a problem.so your philosophy is off
