I think Bill Dundee maybe little bitter a lot of other wrestlers made to WWF WWE . Yet he had been Lawler's 2nd hand man in Memphis. Never got there vs a lot who did.. I respect Lawler,but I just couldn't have envisioned him getting over in any other Territory back in the day ,other than his own. Nothing really stood out about him that I could see....I never got "The Hype"

He always got over as a heel wherever he went, but not always as a baby face. He was so over in Memphis and making so much $ there was no need for him to ever leave for any length of time. As for his work, his in-ring work and psychology was flawless (best working punch in the business), he worked with Monster Herls better than anyone in wrestling and his promos are still widely regarded today as some of the best ever. He could work heel or face and draw equally. He was a true pioneer in one off the hottest and most influential territories in wrestling for over a decade. In short, he was just that good and deserves whatever praise he’s given.
