The second album by the original Bill Evans group - released in 1961 - was recorded after the pianist, bassist Scott LaFaro, and drummer Paul Motian had spent a year working together and honing the telepathy that established a new standard for trio interaction. Featuring intimate readings of several standards plus three compositions from the jazz world that became synonymous with the trio's sounds, the album was cited by Evans years later as among his own favorite recordings.

@@user-ty8me4hm1w really not sure what to say if you can't appreciate the bass solo, like i understand if you can't properly hear the bass solo because of the recording, but if u are actively trying to ignore the sound of the bass solo like its terrible, then im not sure if you really can appreciate a lot of the jazz world. its a soulful, melodic bass solo that not many can pull off with such ease and laid back rhythm placement. i do agree that the piano solo is probably easier to listen to, but dang thats mighty disrespectful to the bass player and the entire trio itself
