In 2006, I saw Bill and his band at High Sierra Music Festival - Late night stage at 1-4am or so...A bunch of that stuff right there along with some SERIOUS quartet jamming. Blew my face off and then at the end of it all, Bill just kinda smiled like he does here and humbly waved and like "time to get some sleep, boys and girls." One of a kind.

Any idea what the little silver pedal he keeps stomping on next to the DL4 is? EH Freeze perhaps?
@dukdukguus11 жыл бұрын
Looks like an earlier T Rex Room-mate tube reverb; right underneath is that sweet GA-18. (He doesn't travel with a sound guy, or roadie, or guitar tech, and he kind of sets up his own rig, too, right on the stage. Here it's on a pedal board but he usually just dumps a bag of pedals out and let's it rip!)
@aparias8 жыл бұрын
Does anyone know how Bill gets those really high pitched notes around the 4:27 mark? I know it has something to do with the DL4 and I thought he may be using the octaves on the POG but its not even plugged in.

@duhdamac -- Ooops! Sorry--didn't see your later post. Yeah, a Freeze pedal is the next on my list. One of the things I wish Line6 had done was to allow looping to continue while you're on other delay settings. About the only way around that is to buy another loop station (I shot the moon on a Boss RC-50 which I'm not too crazy about--probably should have just bought another "green monster"!).

@duhdamac You can get a type of ring modulator tone from the "Reverse" setting on a DL4 if you turn the "Delay Time" knob down and the Repeats knob up (past 12 o'clock at least). You can even approximate a steel drum sound on this setting. Tweak and Tweeze gives you variations to play with on the overall sound. Great pedal to experiment with--so enjoy the loopy madness!
@LiterallyJord7 жыл бұрын
What setting on the DL4 let's you get that octave up sound at 4:28 tho ?? :0

@spraddr I already figured it out, (see 2nd post above my 1rst) but thanks anyway. I bought the unit for looping, but this exercise has gotten me into exploring the delays more. Lots of fun. I think I'll need to get one of those EH Freeze pedals too, and the TC reverb sounds incredible too, but I already have acceptable reverb, so that'll wait.
