It's the reason we manage to live for 90 years for crying out loud. This is how we know that science works. Without the shadow of a doubt. On the other hand, no one has ever been able to produce anything worthwhile based on the teaching of religion. No operating principle, no formula, no practical concept, nothing. What we find however is a pseudo-cure for leprosy that demands killing 2 birds and dipping the first in the blood of the second or Jesus discouraging people from washing their hands. Gimme a break. It also says bats are birds, the moon is a light and the earth is a flat disc created 6'000 years ago. Religion is quite literally the stellar opposite of science.

But the issue is that most people don't care enough to seek the truth. They fall for sweet lies and misinformation and refuse to accept the bitter truth because it's easier for them this way. Even if you try to argue with them freely so that "the truth will come out" as you say, most supporters of the conspiracy theories will simply not listen to you because they WANT to believe in conspiracy theories. And spreading it only makes things worse. For example, is there any good reason to believe that the earth is flat? I don't think so. There are TONS of Facts that show that the earth is not flat, but no matter how many Facts you show to the people who believe earth to be flat, they just will not believe you. They refuse to think rationally and accept that they were wrong.
