You might kill and eat her, but then, as a "book burglar" she truly HAS no SOUL, so the feast would be toxic. It's inexcusable as (unless a first edition was stolen) one could, if they misplaced a title, buy even a used copy to REPLACE it...but of course feigning ignorance...or simply failing to return the book promptly tells you who this person truly is: someone undeserving of kindness or trust.
