Bill Hayes Interview Pt 1 - Beginnings, and Eizo Shimabukuro

This is an interview that occurred in May 2011 with Bill Hayes Kyoshi of Shobayashi Shorin Ryu Karate do. Hayes Sensei is one of the most respected practitioners of Okinawa karate alive today and is a wealth of knowledge and experience.
In this first video, Hayes Sensei describes how he first got started in the martial arts, how his tours of duty in Vietnam brought him to Okinawa, and how he came to study under Eizo Shimabukuro, student of the late Chotoku Kyan.
