Taking this all back to highschool, there's the normal, reasonable people sitting at normal people table, then the weirdo losers sitting with Trump, then the Bill Maher table which is always scheming at how to posture as the best of both worlds. Bill Maher is like Seinfeld - they get too old, and crotchety, think they know it all, and become self-satisfied. Bill Maher went all, "You kids stay off of my lawn!" shortly after he got the idea to install solar panels. He's been whining ever since about having to toe the line just like everyone else and follow the rules and regulations required to do this. That's been I guess around 9-10years ago. I'used to tolerate Bill's sexist but not quite misogynistic humor because it was funny. Mean but funny . I've always noticed his willingness to jump on the f-- jokes and disparage members of the LGBTQ+ community; although he laid off of those, like most decent comedians did, around the turn of the millennium. But it was about 10 years ago when he started whining to his audience to clap for his ranting about his damn solar panels that I noticed a distinct turn to the right that is bewildering to say the least, and offensive enough for me to not enjoy his shows anymore. He's backsliding into prejudices that he's always had to cover with humor. Only now his joke's aren't even funny anymore, or at least 20-25% of the time, because of his personal problems with the state of California and their laws. It has affected his political humor. Corporate sellout. He's got his, we can all go f--- ourselves.
