Maher was quasi-likable when he focused his vitriol on widely-despised groups like the Christian Right and the Drug War zealots who claimed cannabis was equivalent to crack. But in hindsight, those views were consistent with his true nature as a libertarian atheist weed-smoker. In other words, he embraced what appeared to be leftist positions only on issues that impacted him personally. But as an untalented, out of touch, and overpaid entertainer, that neoliberalism never led him to care about things like economic or social justice.

The moment they agreed to completely disarm in hopes of reaching a peaceful solution, Israel no longer had a reason to negotiate. I usually wouldn't give Maher the satisfaction of a view from me, but I ended up watching this full episode twice. Not only does Bill Burr constantly roast the hell out of Maher, but there's a few times where Bill sings tidbits of Beatles songs and has a surprisingly soothing voice.

@@nkarawan001 I watched the whole thing. I think what most people here don't realize is that Burr actually likes Maher quite a bit, otherwise he wouldn't have had Maher on his own podcast a while back. Maher's pomposity and smugness amuses him rather than infuriates him.
