This Bill Medley collaboration I somehow have never seen. I say that because I consider myself to be a big fan of The Righteous Brothers. Great one!

Bill Medley of the Righteous Brothers makes my heart soar! My first recollection of teaming up with The Blossoms was on a US show called Shindig back in the 1960's. I never missed a show and neither did my mom! Most people don't know that Darlene Love was ever a Blossom. Thank you Harri, I just can't stop smiling! Peace, love & kindness to you Sir!

I had the pleasure of meeting Bill Medley after his show last month. He was very nice and genuine and gracious. Wonderful experience! He will no longer tour after this year, but he’s not retiring. He’s working on a new album now!

This was written for Bill after he left the Righteous Brothers... and coincidentally was in a relationship with Darlene Love. When the 'brothers' got back together he continued to sing it and sometimes Bobby filled in on the background when they didn't have background singers.

I love this song "Brown eyed woman" by Bill medley, his voice is just amazing and yes he was called "Blue eyed soul" long ago. I have all of his albums (on his own) and another great song he sings is "Peace Brother peace", it's a very spiritual uplifting song of hope and it sure fits what our country and the world is going through now, the song gives me "Hope' for better days when we all can come together and love one another.

I suggested this fantastic song ,thanks so much for reacting to it. This is a magnificent performance. Love Bills voice, have been a big fan of them since the start in 64. Bill is still performing at age 83 with Bucky Heard sadly Bobby passed in 2003.

I was a bit young for Bill Medley, but I had older sisters who played him. I always thought his voice was awesome. Thanks John and Harri.

The song is about an interracial relationship. Indeed, at the time, Bill and Darlene Love (the Blossom on the right) were involved. By the way, the bald guy who introduced Bill and the ladies was Shel Silverstein, the writer of Johnny Cash's "Boy Named Sue." Shel was a favorite cartoonist of Hugh Hefner's who also wrote humorous songs. Thanks Harri!

Yes, Darlene and Bill have talked about their long-time relationship in a few interviews I've watched. Darlene even told Billboard magazine that "they came very close to getting married, but in the 60's esp. interracial relationships, let alone, marriages, were extremely controversial." It's incredibly sad and tragic, (not to mention, it makes zero sense) that society would be vehemently opposed to two people falling in love, getting married solely because they were of two different races.. I've never been able to fathom racial prejudice; thankfully!

Oh yes Bill Medley has a number of albums on his own (and he is still singing to this day) and I have them all. I love this song but there are also a number of songs he sings on his own that are epic, one of them being 'Peace Brother peace" you might want to check it out on youtube. Peace brother peace song sure fits what the world is going through now

Both Medley and Bobby Hatfield (who were not real brothers) had great voices. the Unchained Medley is spectacular with Bobby singing. I also liked "You lost that loving feeling". two songs I wish you would review are "Just like Jesse James" by Cher and "Never knew lonely" by Vince Gill (even though he is country) he has the most beautifulist voice ever! Speaking of amazing voices there is always one of the best songs and voices ever "Take it to the limit" Eagles with Randy Meisner lead vocal. the 1977 video is the best one to view. sorry I couldn't help myself! keep up the good work

It occurred to me that I should recommend another of Bill’s great performances, Peace Brother Peace. It was filmed with animation and used by a California tv station as its sign off each night. A wonderful message. Here it is - kzbin.info/www/bejne/mHa3d4WLjNyelZo
