This was 10 yrs ago and i'm the fat ass in the black tank top that built the car. Last time I saw this vid it had 350 veiws. Since then i've lost 60 pounds ,and the car lives in australia. To answer some questions , the color is ford sonic blue. The engine is a 427 fe , w/428 crank , full roller, solid lifted ,with worked edlbrock heads and dove intake. Rotating assy.....custom steel crank, h beams, and keith blacks. I have built many cars for customers and myself, this was my dream build, and man was it a blast. I used to shift this thing at 7k, and it was still pulling hard. And for the numbers comments , 2 months later I did a tuned dyno run at 552 rwhp. And to the guy that said no numbers was an abject waste of 2 minutes........ you might not be able to see the beauty in this car , but most people could stare at it for hours, and not consider it a waste of time. Thanks for the comments, I should start a channel because I build and play with alot of cool shit.

The sound is a dream for a Chevy lover mind NOT for a Ford lover mind!!!! To much cam for what????!
@duster0066

Unfortunately it's not real. There is a description of the car below which says this is a 427, not the stock 428. That exhaust note is terrific, but the stock motors didn't sound like that without an aftermarket cam. I had a 67 390 Mustang. It sounded just like an LTD until I put a 427 spec cam in it, and a lot of other things to make it take that mechanical cam. I'm not knocking this car. A 427 is way better than a 428 everyday. That's why I made my car a baby 427, not a baby 428. And being more accurate the 427FE was a big 390. The 390 was factory raced before the 427. They even have the same stroke. The 428 is a boat motor. IDK why Shelby used it.

Hi. It's a buddy's car, I will ask him exactly what color it is and I will let you know. I do know it was PPG paint. For everybody it's a 427FE motor, Tremec tko600 5 speed, and the rwhp was 473 on this run, and this was without any tuning so it is probably a bit higher now. All the fiberglass parts on the car, the rollbar, and the steering wheel are actual Shelby components. Thanks for viewing everyone, I am glad that you are enjoying the audio!

Not really enjoying the audio I am ashamed that a Ford guy tried to make a Chevy out of a Ford First time I heard a 427/460 sound like a Chevy it’s almost impossible to make a Ford engine sound like that yet they pull it off what a shame

something about the rollers on that trailer scare the shit out of me, 1 to 2 more inches of flex and those rear tires would of grabbed the trailer then all hell break loose lol but luckily no Shelby's were harmed. Piece of art and history right there

@patrickmcleod111

But its more 'challenging' when the relevant data is completely omitted. An ideal dyno video would contain a blank screen, with no mention of what car or engine is being tested, with no more than the exhaust note to go by. Then we could all sit around at our homes, scratching our heads in curiosity, leaving guess posts! Lol. It's almost as good as when someone posts a video of an interesting car making a 1/4 mile pass, with no mention anywhere of the et or speed....

No actually 428 motors came out in 66 galaxies. In 1967 they put in a 428 police interceptor in the Shelby GT 500 with 2 4 barrel carburetors which was rated at 365 hp but was much more. 428 cobra jets came out in 68. The 1967 Shelby GT500 super snake had a 427 medium riser in it but They only made a few of those
